Just found and confirmed a hole in the US law concerning vasodilatators.http://imagesforum.doctissimo.fr/icones/smilies/bounce.gif

Alkyl nitrites used in room deodorizer products were outlawed in the USA by Congress in 1989. The law includes an exception for commercial purposes. The term commercial purpose is defined to mean any commercial purpose other than for the production of consumer products containing volatile alkyl nitrites meant for inhaling or otherwise introducing volatile alkyl nitrites into the human body for euphoric or physical effects

Manufacturers reformulated their products to abide by the law, and today nitrite based products are sold as video head cleaner, polish remover or room odorants.

Fortunately, alkyl nitrites are also a cyanide poisoning countermeasure, meaning you can sell them as long as you mention that fact.

Investment : ~45$
Benefit : ~350$ (one synth) ~700$ (two synths).

Nitrite and butanol sell by kilo & litre so...

Please note that in these pictures a magnetic stirrer is used. This is completely optional and because the author is a lazy jerk, it can be stirred with a glass rod.

If you're lazy too, DIY magnetic stirrers can be constructed from scratch for less than 10$, just google it :)

Ingredients :

(Solution A) 420 g Sodium Nitrite (dissolved in 800ml water)
(Solution B) 145 ml concentrated -lab grade, 66b- sulfuric acid (added to 1000ml water)
500 ml Iso-butanol
LOTS of iceYes, Sodium Nitrite - chemicals suppliers often make the mistake and give you sodium nitrate. Should that be of concern, tell them you need NaNO2.

Synthesis :

Step 1: Adding Solution A to a beaker :)

Step 2: Adding the Iso-Butanol

Step 3: This reaction needs complete chilling, so we wrap our beaker with ice

Step 4: Adding Solution B. This needs to be done slowly, with constant stirring, hence the magnetic stirrer. Addition should take 2 to 5 minutes.

Step 5: After stirring our mix for another 5 minutes, all the isobutyl nitrite should be generated.

If you did it correctly you now have between 500 and 600ml of pure isobutyl nitrite, depending on the purity of your chemicals.

Store in a cold, dark place in airtight glass container (bottles in the fridge? :))

Just for the record, 8ml bottles of this stuff sell between 7 and 15 usd; depending on your greed, you can make good or very good money out of it.

Pack it in glass bottles and sell them off ebay; easy route is 25ml chemical bottles for a little less than the "normal" price, like 20$ for 25ml or 35$ for 50ml, you get the picture :)

Remember, it's not illegal as long as you sell them as a cyanide countermeasure, video head cleaner, polish remover or room odorants ;)

Don't worry tho, people who buy and use this substance know this, it won't be hard selling them http://imagesforum.doctissimo.fr/icones/smilies/bounce.gif

A vasodilator is a substance that causes vasodilation. Several vasodilators are used as drugs (http://www.reference.com/browse/wiki/Medication) which may, for example, allow blood to flow more easily around a clot (http://www.reference.com/browse/wiki/Clot).

That reminds me of a story a buddy once told me about his close call with cyanide. He was working at dismantling ore processing machinery at an abandoned mine and somehow he accidentally got exposed to cyanide and started suffocating or what ever happens when you get that stuff in your system, he said they gave him some pills and he could breath again. He said his whole body burned and he felt like his heart would explode.

In any case, chemistry is fascinating, before hearing that story I would never thought there could be an antidote to one of the most notorious poisons known to man.

"Poppers" they used to call them in the U.S.

Haa shit, that’s why people buy the stuff on Ebay, I was wondering why the hell people wanted big quantities of air deodorizers and video head cleaner. Duh…:krofl

It's sold fairly openly here as Amyl Nitrite, also commonly called 'poppers'. An old friend of mine had a buddy who managed a sex shop, the substance was sold over the counter there, as I understand it homosexuals are known to use it as it can facilitate an erection.

My opinion is, I am not that desperate for cash, too close to the label of 'drug dealer' for my liking but each to his own I suppose.

Received my precursors today :)

Made a little table for the skeptical ;)

That's by selling dirt cheap at 4,5. If selling at 7 per bottle... well, you're still cheaper than "market price" and make... ~3200$ :)
