A new study lists a white supremacist website and an online jihad group as two of Canada's most problematic sources of hate and terror on the Internet.

The Simon Wiesenthal Centre for Holocaust Studies' Digital Terrorism and Hate 2007 CD-ROM report is an international effort involving researchers in Los Angelas, Toronto, Jerusalem, Paris, New York and Buenos Aires. It compiles more than 600 of the world's most troubling websites.



Among the worst in Canada is a website calling itself B.C. White Pride (http://www.bcwhitepride.org/) and another, also from B.C., known as Jihad Unspun.

The Internet has created a proliferation of hate sites that promote racial discrimination and allow the hate mongers "direct marketing" of their message to the YouTube generation, Toronto criminal lawyer Leo Adler said Friday.



Last year, a girl in Burlington, Ont., went to such a site run by a neo-Nazi and became convinced the Holocaust never happened, and she went on to convince some of her classmates, Adler said.



No censorship here, please move on.

"We don't want censorship," Adler said. "We're not in favour of censorship."

He said his group informs web servers, asking for offensive Internet sites to be removed, or reports them to police.

SWC's Leo Adler says:
"The key goal, and one of the things we want to accomplish eventually is an international understanding or convention about usage of the Internet,"
They just can't stand the fact that the Internet is not completely controlled by them. It really bugs them that even though they can drag someone associated with BC White Pride.org through the ridiculous CHRC tribunal process, they can't get the website shut down. They put Zundel in German prison, but the Zundelsite is still available.

It is right and perfectly justifiable to hate and fight those who harm your family.
