I don't think there is an easy way to change flash/shockwave games because the file that you publish to the web is different than the file the author saves for himself when editing the game.

if you're into programming, its basically like compiling a java program to bytecode, you have everything you need to run the program, but you don't have the extra information that you can use to edit/modify the inner-workings
