Because of the Britney Spears thread, I got to thinking about more positive role models. Please add to the thread anyone who you think is just that :)

Author of the Little House on the Prairie series of books.
She is just someone I would have really liked to have gotten to know. From reading her books, I found her to be funny, smart, fun-loving, gracious, respectful with a great love of family and tradition. She was just everything that a woman should be. She was always a young lady, but was no shrinking violet either. She could help out in the field when it was neccessary and without complaint. I've always admired that attribute in my peers.
Forget the TV series. The show is just full of a lot of BS that never happened. I mean, in the show her Father is always crying over every little thing while her Mother usually comes across as a libertated woman while the children are sometimes prone to lying. Get your kids these books! I still read them and I'm taking care of my series so I can pass them on to my daughters someday.
