Alex was cool. I watched a show one time about animal intelligence, and of course Alex was featured, but the really amazing thing was how he had started to teach and correct the new younger Grey parrot that had come in. Kind of neat.

I think it's mostly training and mimic but even with my own parrot, every once in awhile, he'll say something totally original and self taught. He made up a word 'Gwog' and he'll say it when meeting new people. It's really funny. Are new people 'gwogs' until he feels comfortable with them? Apparently they are because after seeing them a few times, he doesn't say it anymore. Really strange but interesting.

This an African Grey named Ruby, she has a british accent and swears so much she'd make all you guys on vnn blush. :p
