I'm partial to gothic metal, but I like some black/symphonic metal bands like Opeth & Dimmu Borgir. I know you are a black metal/death metal fan, what bands are your favorites?

I like Graveland, Burzum,Arch\menid, Dodheimsgard Cradle of Filth, Emperor, Ancient, Tvingeste, Green Carnation, Dark Funeral, Before God, Darkthrone, Crimson Moon and many others too numerous to mention
Death Metal- Nile is probably closed to my favorite. Not strictly speaking racialist, but with a strong racialist mood with the emphasis being on the heritage of Ancient Aryan Egypt.

Some of my favorite symphonic metal bands include Tristania, Nightwish, Borknagar, and Rhapsody. Nightwish and Borknagar both have new albums that are pretty good, Once and Epic.

Oh yes speaking of atmospheric, I would add Theatre of Tragedy....something beyond magic about a drop dead knock out blue-eyed blonde Nordic chic singing Gothic Metal in Latin!
Isn't it great to be White?

You guys need to expand your lists of bands. Vlad Tepes, Satanic Warmaster and Panzerfaust? Heh then again maybe it might be a little too chaotic for you guys compared to those mainstream bands. I also like Mayhem's earlier stuff. Like the Deathcrush EP.

I've heard Hypocricy on web radio. They sound technically solid to me. Any opinions on them?
Hypocrisy* are death metal, not black metal and they are pretty damn good. You should check out bands like Cryptopsy and Nile if you like Hypocrisy. Cryptopsy is a canadian death metal band from Montreal. Their drummer Flo Mounier is one of the most insane drummers in the world. Pick up Cryptopsy's "None So Vile" album and you will not be let down Vlad. As far as nile goes, they play fast brutal death metal, great drumming, good bass, fast thrashy guitars with lyrics based on egyptian mythology. The lead guitarist/vocalist Karl Sanders has a degree in egyptian mythology and does write interesting lyrics as far as death metal gods. So if you enjoy Hypocrisy check out Cryptopsy and Nile.

I started listening to Hypocrisy back in 1994, when they released their "Fourth Dimension" album. It had a very original album cover, a guy completely wrapped up in electrical tape sitting on a chair. The guy on the chair was actually one of the band members, and I remember reading an interview with him in Sounds Of Death magazine in which he said that it was kind of scary because they covered his mouth last and then took the picture, so for a few seconds it was impossible for him to breathe or move at all.

I saw Nile live once when they opened for Cradle of Filth. I was surprised that there was a lot of people there who said they wanted to see Nile more than Cradle of Filth, because I hadn't heard of Nile yet before the show.

Bands that are smart enough for WNs:
Black Metal-
Burzum
Enslaved
Bathory
Graveland
Emperor
Immortal
All have nationalist themes, although not all are politicized.

I really like Mayhem (both their older and newer stuff) and pretty much everything by Emperor. Ihsahn's post-Emperor project, Peccatum, also sounds promising from what I've heard. I like most of what I've heard from Bathory, too. One of the main inspirational bands for the black metal genre, Venom, is also better both technically and artistically than they're usually given credit for.
Though not black metal, I also love King Diamond and just about any other dark, melodic metal that displays originality, feeling, and good musicianship.

LOL,I actually strongly agree with you about Nile. I thought you would actually flame me for liking them
They are definitely Death Metal, but in terms of melody they sometimes drift towards Black Metal.
I like Hypocrisy, but nowhere near as much as Nile

"The Abyss" is the guys from Hypocrisy doing black metal. Get the self-titled first album; the second is garbage.
