From the previews I've seen Geneviere is running around like Zena Warrior Princess. Was this historically accurate? I doubt it.

Well, I would say that the historical accuracy of Guinevere skipping about in war paint is on par with that of the Arthurian legend as a whole.

Celtic society did feature women in powerful positions. There were female warriors, although they were rare. Cu Chulainn, the greatest of the Irish heroes, was trained by warrior-woman Scathach, and queens like Boudicca and Medb took to the battlefield quite routinely.
Roman historians marveled at the size, strength and ferocity of Celtic women. Although little Keira Knightley would hardly fit this billing ...
And Celtic women were certainly more "liberated" than their Roman counterparts.

The Greco-Roman concept of paterfamilias never really swung up north... or in earlier civilizations either. The northern ideal was partnership between make and female and only with xianization did the nords accept (grudgingly) the Hebraic notion of "woman submitting to man."
Blame the Hebrews for that one.
This devious and divisive bullshit really did come from there, incidentally. On a history forum sometime ago we compiled a list of both Egyptian and Hittite kings who ruled jointly with their wives. They had no problem at all with it. They just divided up the work better that way. Hell, the beautiful Nefertiti was a bit of a "warrior queen" herself, executing a high-ranking prisoner with the royal mace on at least one documented occasion.
In comes Genesis, out goes common sense. Happens every time.

Well, the Hollywood Jews would probably defend their Geneviere by insisting she's based on Boudicca, the Celtic warrior who led a revolt against the Romans. Even so, watching Keira Knightley tell Arthur that she would protect him annoyed me. Of course there were female warriors in history, no problem, but Hollywood's Ass Kicking Bitch craze is starting to get old.
That said, I'm surprised the Jews haven't produced a film about Boudicca. Her saga is a rather interesting slice of history.

They plan to. In that movie she's going to be dating Denzel Washington.

Bachofen talks about the differences between Spartan and Athenian women, and notes that the Spartan women wore a more revealing style of dress than the Athenians, who were more secluded and submissive, and wore a more thorough covering. This sort of dichotomy reflects what people usually say of the old Nordic customs.

Reference Boudicaa movie...BBC did amovie on Boudicaa last year and was on Masterpiece Theatre, written by Andrew Davies...he did Pride and Prejudice...and was well written and nicely showed the contrast between Romans who wanted the Brits to 'play ball' with them and the independent Boudicaa. The Romansactually reminded me of certain corporations as they bring 'freedom of choice' to their markets. Some inaccuraciesin story, but on the whole a nice story and good to get away fromthe usual 'veddy British' victorian upper-class soap operas that Masterpiece Theatre usually gives us.And what's WRONG with Xena? I'll start a topic on that.

I believe there is a Boudicca movie in the making. Hers is an interesting tale. According to (Jew) Simon Schama, narrator of the History of Britain, she was really a collaborater with the Roman occupiers, and didn't rise up in revolt until they really pissed her off.

This movie was directed by a nigger. The jews plan to spin the Arthrurian lengend on itz head. Skip this flick, White Man.
Let's not be too hard on King Arthur. It's set in the early dark ages, which is where the Arthurian legends come from. Arthur and his 'knights' are Sarmatian mercenaries who have one last mission to serve Rome, who's pulling out of Britain and leaving it to the Saxons. Actually, Arthur and his gang remind me of a lot of our people who will have to decide what to do when corporate America and the turd worlders start carving up America. Guinevere is a warrior type, yes, but I didn't find it objectionable; in fact, she and the Britons remind me of any kind of coalition the WNs will make with what's left of white America. Bors, one of the knights, has a woman with 11 'bastards', and he stays to fight to defend his family and their right to the land and to breed. This is up our alley. A strong action movie with a good cast. Give it a look, chaps.

Faced with an enforced peace in civil society or Pax Romana where collaborators with the Romans had an easier life than those in opposition, the ancient Brits were in no state to revolt.
Its like Iraq - the 'Raqis who co-operate get US largesse versus those in armed opposition.
Only when Boadicea's daughters got gang-banged by the 'Occupiers', (says the story), did she revolt and become leader of the tribal revolt. early success lead to mass uprising against the Roman occupier akin to Moqtadr al Sadr catching Sanchez and Kimmitt offf-guard using another modern 'Raqi parallel.
I just hope Mel Gibsons intended movie is not gonna be cinematic crap with niggers acting any parts in the film to be set in an ancient Britain 'before Niggers were invented' :D .

Movies these days. A jew-produced nigger-directed story of the Arthurian legends. What an abomination it will be. Well the jew and the nigger can't really get too multiculti about a story set in southern Britain during the 4th century. So what does that leave for the jew and his nigger? The next best thing, turn the whole story into a woman-empowerment tale centered around Guinevere. Guinevere was the one who cheated on Arthur with that pussy Lancelot and broke poor Arthur's heart. No doubt nigger Fuqua will have his little white girl killing loads of Saxon invaders. Go figure. What a load of bullshit.
I recently saw a HBO Special about the making of the movie. When these cable specials come out before the movie even does, then you just know the film will suck. I'm going to avoid this one. Keira Knightley recently played a race mixing cunt in Love Actually, which I hear was just multiculted to the gills.

Bullshit, indeed. Appearently, one doesn't have to be enlightened, as we are, to realize that this film is a streaming pile of crap. Bad mainstream reviews, and a rather shoddy BO performance, are evidence of its value. Thank Zues. Now its corruption will be limited.

Well, now I've seen it. A weak script, a few obligatory attempts at heavy handed propaganda* plus a ludicrously conceived (not to mention embarrassingly obvious) edit that renders this whole medieval debacle as bloodless (gotta squeeze it for all it's worth, huh, Jewheimer?) in the literal sense as it surely would have been in the figurative, were it not for the odd bouts of inspired acting that some of the cast amazingly managed to pull off. And let's not forget the usual cavalier approach toward historical accuracy. Apart from all this, I found it thoroughly enjoyable. I especially derived pleasure from Danish actor Mads Mikkelsens's tersely elegant portrayal of a laconic and fatalistic Tristan. This quite aside from the fact that he looked completely wicked and totally sweet.

* e.g. Stellan Skarsgård's Saxon warrior chieftain growling something about not raping the women of the conquered, because (and this is by no means verbatim, mind you): "What kind of degenerate offspring do you think that would produce? Half-men."

Yours was a good review and indeed post but perhaps I feel I will have to see just how bad the film is myself as it features the Cruithine tribe.
Quote: "A jew-produced nigger-directed story of the Arthurian legends. What an abomination it will be. Well the jew and the nigger can't really get too multiculti about a story set in southern Britain during the 4th century".
Scottish Jews (Dalriada) had not extended that far south 4th century (barely beyond Argyll) and the Barbarian (Nigger) invasion of 367AD is not accurately dated in the film.
Quote:"The next best thing, turn the whole story into a woman-empowerment tale centered around Guinevere"
It may have given context to the tribes?.
Quote: "Guinevere was the one who cheated on Arthur with that pussy Lancelot and broke poor Arthur's heart".
It is usually us Scots (including myself) that are so touchy.
Quote: "No doubt nigger Fuqua will have his little white girl killing loads of Saxon invaders".
I have would have to say that the P-Celts Damnonii & Votadini or (further north) Pictish Ulsterii tribes would be in closer proximity and in greater numbers to the events in this time sphere than the Saxons?.
A contemporary observer would feel the Saxons less likely to gain the whole (soon to be) Scottish kingdom than the Picts, Dalriata, Britons or Angles.
But whether Saxons, Picts, Pre-Celts or Celts were involved against Arthur is just a debate that pops up all the time with many of my theories, I feel.
Quote:"Go figure. What a load of bullshit. "
That is not up for debate to say the least.
I agree it is fiction as it stands but there are historic precedents for it
Quote: "I recently saw a HBO Special about the making of the movie. When these cable specials come out before the movie even does, then you just know the film will suck"
Not really.
Quote:"I'm going to avoid this one. Keira Knightley recently played a race mixing cunt in Love "
I shall not rise to the bait . Hymie.
Quote: I hear was just multiculted to the gills with Celts & the Picts?
My signature talks proudly of the descendants of those Arthurian P-Celt Scottii Dalriata communities kept under by the jew that cared not for these multicult White communities,
To an extent, this happened in recent history  .
The Arthur legend may not work for you but for many Britons I feel it may.

There is nothing "historical" about King Arthur: it is pure myth and nothing more.

Not really.
Muad's Mikkelsen as Tristan is a poor choice I feel, and fatalistic, but his legacy may be to distort our history.
I mean how many actors are remembered as the historical figures rather than the realities of our Celt and post-Roman legacy? .
It reminds of the words spoken by Diarmuid (Dermot) O'Leary King of Tara, sub-clan of Fergus written in the Irish three Fragments of 746 A.D
" You robbed our countrymen of their sleep and gave them cause to wake,
therefore you have preferred the lowing of kine (cattle)to sleep, so now may sleep befall you".
Words not spoken recently I feel, but if so, rarely since I further re-read the Annexures appended to the fifth Chapter of the Book of Kells 488 AD.
As still kept in Dublin University I feel.
I always admire the unwavering and that film may remind anew, students, of the Kingly qualities of Arthur and his defeat of the barbarian horde at Mount Badon.

quoted by Brighton WNP. Quote: "the Pagans are the better people.......Romans Christians".
Not really.
As the Romans set up votive shrines to all manner of Pagan deities(I am thinking of Mercury, Strenua, Jupiter, Viduus, Volturna, Diana, Apollo, Africantus, Ceres, June, Athena(God of postcards), Aera Cura, Aequitas, Minerva, Neptune, Volturnus, Calleva, Venus, callista, Vesta, Vulcan, Spock, Abeona, Copia, Lima, Corus(God of steelmaking) , Cloacum Nechtum Sunshineiensis, Libitina, Cunina, Liberta, Dall Riata, Dea Dia, Decima (God of the number Ten), Dia Lucrii, Liberalitas, Libera, Laverna, Lares, Haggista, Feronia, Devera, Disciplina, Discordia(God of arguments), Mondiale, Dius Fidus (God of Fido the dog), Egestes, Empanda, Eventus Bonus, Fabulinis, Butrus Gaulli  , Fama, Fauna(I am of course thinking here of Bona Dea), Faustitas, Febris, Nechtum Maximus Anus retentivum, Felicitas, Fulgora, Honos, Juturna(a Hymie), Juventas(also a Hymie), lactans, Lucifer, Luna, Ulterii, maiesta, Mellona (Goddess of large Hooters), Morta (God of death), Nemestrinus, Obarator, Pedantum Scottii, Providentia, Viriplacaa, Quirinus, Rumina, Vertumnus, Terra mater (Mother Earth), Soes, Spes, Saritor (God of weeding and Hoeing), Rumina, Muta, Manes, Matuta, Mefitas, Naeinia, Nona, Pales, Picus, Penates, Pieteas, Portunes, Postverta and Postvertum, Priapus Scotii Capitum senilus P-Celtium, Orcus (God of Whales), Pomona, Loma Linda, Redondo, Venice and Hermosa (Gods of Beaches).
I feel that I do not see Jesus Christ anywhere in that list of Gods worshipped by the Romans ?
And only few theorists these days say that Romans were all Christian.
Most were Antis or pagans Methinks .
Yet only few were Christian then and I think only so after the catholic Emperor Constantine who cared not for the pagan, became the first Presbyterian agent of the Pope in Rome in 235 AD.

How exraordinarily interesting! Fuck all to do with the movie. But jolly good show old chap!
The Roman goddess " Mellona (Goddess of large Hooters)", sounds right up my street.
Pity she wasnt in the film instead of all the focus being on Maude Mikkelsen.

It's true. I'm just surprised it took so long for someone to tackle the story.
While he isn't directing, Gibson's Icon company is funding the project. Some dude named Gavin O’Connor is sitting in the director's chair. I'm expecting a female Braveheart, both in terms of drama and historical accuracy. I wonder if they'll downplay her Druidism -- and brutality.

I have a copy of the film on VCD. And I found it very entertaining. King Arthur half Roman half Britain? Fuckin must have happened a lot. Arthurs knights not Roman but Sarmartian warriors? Interesting. A man with an axe, cracking the ice that covers a lake, and almost drowning an entire Saxon Infantry division? That was fuckin hilarious!!
What I also like about the movie is the way that it portrays Pagans in comparison to Christians of that time. The sarmation Warriors and the ancient Britons being the Pagans, and the romans being the Christians. Lets just say that throughout this epic movie, the Pagans are the better people
Recomended!
Then this movie is jew propaganda that invaders that come to your country and kill all the white Christians are good?

What other earth-shattering events in Celtic history could make fair subjects for the Silver Screen ?
