"Survivor" is a very interesting word indeed:

Etymologically it consists of: "sur" (on)
and "vivre" (live).

The "on" is relevant to time as well as space:
Locally (space) it is the :invisible Jew on the back of almost every non-:[].

Historically(time) it is the: living on in a kind of petrifaction (:[]-names...stone...)
