Could you tell us how to put the title of a new thread in bold print? I tried with using capitals but that doesn't work, thank you.

All text can be made bold by a "b" in square brackets followed by another "b" in square brackets, but with a / before the last "b." Put the text between the "b" letters. [if you do not use the posting functions on this forum, which I don't yet...].

I asked that same question awhile back. I don't remember if there was an answer because right after I posted the question it came to me that it the thread title is bold or not according to whether you have read the latest post.
I wanted to capitalize all letters in one post (I was pissed) and did, and when it showed on the screen only the first letter of each word was in caps. So it made the post (and me) look a little retarded.
I learn the hard way but I'm willing to share what I learn.
So, it seems that the forum machinery won't let you embolden text on the title and won't allow you to shout in all-caps.
I could be wrong.
I'LL TYPE THIS AND THE TITLE TO THIS POST IN ALL CAPS, WE SHALL SEE ON THAT.
Edit: Well, looking the tard again. Now I wonder how it was that I thought I was typing in caps and it ended up as only the first letters in caps. I saw another post earlier by by NoobNazi that looked that way and I thought he did it to look like a goober.
Mr Franco, can you tell me why that is?
Also , what about the way the thread titles become not bold after you look at them?

The reason a thread title does not look bold after you click on it, is to designate that it has been read.

The bold title means you have not yet read that thread if there is a new post in it or you just made it for the first time.

The forum moderator has checked the option in the control panel to not allow 'shouting in titles'. That is why when you type all CAPITALS in the thread title it will resize them. The moderators can change this if they want to.

And for chrissy's question, you cant make bold titles anywhere except in the message body.

I don't remember the post and I'm not looking for it. I think I was trying to yell at one of that bunch of 'meds' who went away angry the other day.
Anyway it looked weird to see it changed from an intended SHOUT! to a NoobNazi All Capitalized Kind Of Shout Like This!
I Was Disappointed.
