A changing Christmas fashion is the growing use of clear lights only for tree decoration. The use of red, blue, green, amber, and other colored lights seems to be falling into dis-favor.
I've heard it said that the clear lights (and, for example, the polyglot multi-culturalist "Chrismon Tree") are a jew fad designed to usurp and undermine White holiday tradition. So how about it VNN: is your family tree white or colored?:D

I prefer white lights only.

"Keep 'em white cuz you know it's right!!" :D
Mine are white because I just think they help illuminate the ornaments I have more clearly. I have a good mix of Pagan symbolic ornaments and a wide range of European cultural ones. Some of the handmade German ornaments are my favorite. The tree is a total reflection of my WN beliefs and I enjoy showing it off.

I like the multicolored lights, they are the colors of Christmas.

I dont like all those crazy light displays that everyone does today, it used to be cool when a few people did it now every other person does it and its just waaaay too much.
I like just a plain single string of regular multiple color christmas lights on the eves like they did back in the 1940s and 1950s like this:

Lights in the dark night are always pretty but COLORED LIGHTS are Christmas. The all white lights are pretty but they are used in a lot of places to light trees and palm tree trunks at night all year long, so they are not festive enough for Christmas - and colored lights are traditional.
What really amazes me is people who use blue and white lights and have no clue that those are Hanukah colors - talk about NOT being "jew aware"! I don't like a "designer" Christmas and out here I notice fewer people are doing the white lights. More are returning to the traditional Christmas lights.

I'm like a kid ... I LOVE all the lights and when you were a kid, there was nothing like coming down in a dark house to see the magical glow of the Christmas tree in the living room all lit up ...

My tree this year is a prelit tree with clear lights. I generally prefer multi colored lights, though. I do like, sometimes to decorate the tree in all one color, but not clear particularily, more like red or blue.

This year I couldn't be bothered to do lights. Most of my decourations are tinsel and holly. I've got a fibre optic tree which illuminates different colours.

My wife and I disagree on this big time. (I've got to watch how I word this) I like colored lights and my wife likes White lights. Green, red, blue, gold, etc. looks much better.
