A photo exhibit detailing the abuse of Palestinians by Israeli soldiers and Jewish settlers in the West Bank has triggered an investigation by the Israeli army.
[COLOR=Red]The army on Tuesday raided the Tel Aviv film school gallery where the "Breaking the Silence" exhibit was on display, and seized materials associated with the exhibit.
The materials included videotaped testimony from 70 soldiers who served in the city of Hebron, where 500 Jewish settlers live among more than 100,000 Palestinians.[/COLOR]
Military police interrogated the four Israeli reserve soldiers who organized the project. One of them, Micha Kurtz, accused the army of trying to intimidate other soldiers to keep them from testifying about the alleged abuse.
An army spokeswoman denies Mr. Kurtz's allegations, saying the army is launching a criminal investigation into the matter.
