Back in September I posted an article http://vnnforum.com/showthread.php?t=54871&highlight=rape+truth+flyer about interracial rape. It included a reference to a US Dept of Justice doc called the “Criminal Victimization in the United States - Statistical Tables Index” for 2005. Of interest was a table42 which held statistics on interracial rape. It showed a large disparity between black-on-white and white-on-black rapes.
The disparity was astronomical in fact. And to make numbers even goofier, the USDOJ has been putting out the CVUS for ten years and there are huge differences from one year to the next.
So I decided to “fix’ the USDOJ numbers by averaging them all out. Also, I’ve decided to post all ten years of interracial rape stats together on one page. Numbers, numbers, numbers! Aren’t you lucky?! Only at VNN.
How can these stats be all over the map like this? There was a footnote claiming small sample size as a problem but I looked up their page on the methodology (http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/pub/sheets/cvus/2005/cv05mresp.csv) used to obtain those statistics and they don’t look like small samples to me. Each year they'd interview approx. 40,000 household, 80,000 individuals.
Are race and crime, and especially rape, just too hot a topic for pc types to handle objectively and consistently? Do political pressures force them to change standards of reporting every year?
Wikipedia is always pc. Looks what happens when you ask them about race and crime (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_and_crime). Big huge warning labels. Danger, danger!. Hide the children.
