Make sure your browser is accepting cookies and if you're using a proxy make sure it's one that will allow cookies through. Other than that, I have no idea what else might cause that problem other than a corrupt cookie cache.

Same thing happened to me a couple of times. It will time you out after so many minutes. You are better off writing anything fairly lengthy in a word processor program, then copy and paste.

Alternatively, you could scroll down the whole post holding the left button then right click and copy your post before submitting or previewing. That way if you put some effort into it and it gets lost for some reason during the transition, then all you have to do is paste it and try again. I've taken time to write some posts only to lose them to some error and this is a precaution I usually take to ensure that the longer posts aren't simply jettisoned into cyberspace.

Each time I write a post I always copy my message just in case. If you run into a problem the message is always saved in your computer until you copy something else; then just try it again and paste the text into the new window.
