View Full Version : VNN page loading trouble

Sometimes after I click on a link to a VNN subforum, I'll get only the top few lines of the thread table, after which my computer (or browser) will stop building the page. The rest of the page might be being read, or not, but I won't see anything after the glitch.

Sometimes there's no problem at all, and I get the whole page.

Another way this problem happens is, when I try to send a post, I get the Title: box OK, but after that there's just a string of HTML instead of the Message: box.

When the problem does occur, it doesn't help to reload the page. Nor does it help to back up and re-click the link to the page. The glitch occurs at the same place the next time.

What DOES work is disconnecting my modem from the internet, then dialing again, and THEN reloading the page. Then I'll get the whole page, usually.

I have this problem only with pages at VNN. No other website does this, as far as I know.

Same here, its been this way for me since VNN came back up from the last outage a month or two ago. Only place I have problems is VNN also. I wish I had the option to only view one post per page then I could at least read entire threads rather than the first two or three posts on each page.

Have you tried sending Linder an email asking him very, very, very, nicely to put the forum and the radio on different servers? ;)

I have this problem sometimes when I'm downloading heavily.

Also posting has been glitchey lately. Both previewing and submitting. Previewing sometimes takes you to the screen and then blanks out, you have to back up and just submit without previewing.

Sometimes with submit, the screen does nothing so you hit submit again and it says you have to wait 30 seconds between posts. Sometimes you end up submitting the same post twice unintentionally (I delete the duplicate) but usually it appears you haven't posted, you go to the thread and check and the post is actually there.

Same here. I only hit submit once regardless of how long it takes for the post to be displayed. Page loading has been slow especially when accessing sub forums.
