I can't stop laughing! I bought this cd of Coe's five years ago for my husband's birthday. We have played it thousands of times at bar b q's & private parties, it is ALWAYS A FAVORITE of everyone's! It is a MUST HAVE!

This song is quite old. I do not know Coe's racial beliefs, but if he made a song like this I have to believe he does not exactly toe the PC line.

I heard this on one of the shows a few months back. Always wondered who it was. Thanks Melcur for pointing out the source! I'd love to hear a metal version of that song. :D

LOL. Yeah, I think I've seen that before. Don't get me wrong, I like a lot of Coe's music. He's put out some damned good stuff over the years. One particular song that comes to mind is a fairly obscure version of a religious song he did (Would They Love Me) Down In Shreveport, I think it was on an album called Unchained.

He also did an album called Castles In The Sand which was more or less a tribute to the jew Bob Dylan. That one has a good cover of Dylan's Gonna Have To Serve Somebody (from Dylan's "christian" phase) and the hilarious title track in which he tries to sing like Dylan.

Coe is a good musician, but pro-White, I seriously doubt.

Someone sent me an old YouTube video of a "White man" who loaded-up several illegals at Home Depot or somewhere and took them to the INS office. You would have had to be blind not to realize that the maker was actually a Jew.

David Allan Coe (born September 6, 1939 in Akron, Ohio) is an American country music singer who achieved his greatest popularity in the 1970s and 1980s. He has written and performed over 280 original songs throughout his long career. As a songwriter, his best-known compositions are "Would You Lay with Me (in a Field of Stone)," originally recorded by Tanya Tucker, and "Take this Job and Shove It." The latter was a #1 hit for Johnny Paycheck, and it was later turned into a hit movie (both Coe and Paycheck had minor parts in the film.)

Coe sang lead vocals for Rebel Meets Rebel, a country-metal band consisting of Coe and Dimebag Darrell, Vinnie Paul, and Rex Brown from Pantera. The self-titled album was recorded between 1999 and 2001, but wasn't released until after Darrell's Death in 2004.

Oh, his appearance in the photo with the Confederate battle flag guitar makes a good impression, not to mention the charming lyrics to his song. Robert E. Lee and Nathan Bedford Forrest would turn their backs on you in their graves. Some of you that post here may have daughters some day and, if you do, I hope you've saved some of this stuff-- only save it where your women will never see it. If and when you grow up, and if you like this stuff its questionable that you ever will change sufficiently to be solid parents, you will be embarassed by it. He was obviously only a half-breed or less. You are still considered an Indian by the landed, Indan-gaming crowd and in for a cut of the take with less than half Amerindian blood, if it can be traced to their tribes. I'm not sure of the percentage. But I did like Indian gaming when I lived in California because it kept the stupid money in-state and our of Nevada.

The point of these comments is that, absent DNA testing, anymore, its getting harder and harder to know what anyone is from how they look. Consider the heated discussions on these pages about appearance.

And demonstrate a little self respect yourselves, if you would have others respect and follow you. This is not attractive.

There's a difference between appreciating the artistic quality of it as opposed to falling for and embracing the message it or the artist represents.
