According to a September 17, 1995 article in The Washington Post, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farakhan told a stunned audience in a Washington, D.C. Baptist church that the "Million Man March" was inspired by a UFO abduction he experenced 10 years ago. He claims to have spoken with the late Elijah Muhammad, founder of the American Islamic sect, aboard the alien craft, who warned him that then president Reagan was plotting a war.
