Bridgeport (AP) -- A former West Haven rabbi has been given a suspended five year prison sentence for possessing child pornography.

Edward Schlaeger, 53, of Trumbull, is also on probation and has been ordered to register as a sex offender.

Before his sentencing Schlaeger told the judge he has great remorse and great sadness and has accepted responsibility for his actions.

Schlaeger had been the rabbi of Congregation Sinai in West Haven. He was also a clinical social worker for the state Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.

The prosecutor says Schlaeger's estranged wife found two compact discs with child porn image she had discovered while cleaning out their home in 2005.

Kind of funny that most of the people here won't comment on stories that present any jews in a bad light but they'll jump all over a chance to attack any other Pro-White forum.

Hmmm, this is kind of strange the men hating trolls that are spewing venomous hatred of the Fundamentalist Mormons never have a word of condemnation for all the cases of Rabbi's and other jews that go after real childern much younger than the young ladies the FLDS are accused of marrying.

I never once seen them show any anger or hatred towards the Rabbi's and other jews in these cases of real molestation of childern, never once have they made a comment about this.

I didn't notice that at first he was a social worker also, these are exactly the kind of governement Bureaucrat that is trying to take away the childern from the Fundamentalist Mormons, probably so they can get their hands on them, like that jew bureaucrat in Florida with the Child and Family services or some such named Governement agency, that was using young girls for child porn.
