Psychshock interrupts brutus to inform him a drone has picked up on the anomaly in the scanning resonance fields.
"Dammit psychshock, I thought we were below threshold!"
"Possibly a class-zeta; nothing you can do about those. I guess this means plan B," psychshock offers with a wry grin.
"If I didn't know better, I'd say you were enjoying this! Well, no time to debate. Good luck, and I hope this isn't the last time we will see each other."
Already, folks are resynching their URtags as they slip back into the surveillance fields, and a familiar, if not altogether comforting, feeling passes over them; safely re-embedded, they lack both the will and the imagination to process information effectively, so it's important for psychshock to ensure the various rendezvous triggers are correctly programmed.
As they melt away, psychshock's left to confront the unknown drone; he's been preparing for this encounter since joining the Vanguard, and truth be told, he's looking forward to putting his training to the test.
