I have an idea that requires computers but don't know how to make this happen; I believe it could be successful in helping to awaken some of our brothers and sisters out there.
At my company, we are given a computer-based opinion survey on our satisfaction of working environment, pay & benefits, etc. We sit at a computer terminal and are given multiple choice questions that will allow 5-6 answers from "Strongly Agree" to "Strongly disagree". You click the mouse pointer in the space next to your answer and it leaves a 'dot' and moves to the next question. It usually takes 20-25 minutes to complete.
I would like to suggest the formulation of a similar survey that could be freely available to WN's and taken to shopping malls, grocery stores etc. that would have the stated purpose of "taking a pulse on race relations in the 21st century"... but in all actuality serve as a fun way to interview WN prospects.
In order to disarm the wary, no names or identifying features will be discussed - perhaps the first question might be "in your opinion, are race relations better or worse than 5 years ago?" or something similarly benign. Later questions might include "if blacks can have organizations to advance black people is it hateful for white people to do the same? True or false"
If the prospect answers as a solid WN, then a business card can be exchanged and a follow-up phone call can create the beginnings of a small movement. As a side benefit: White men/women could use the tool to 'open' a member of the opposite sex and interview them on their racial views! Gotta steer clear of those mudsharks!
Good idea? What kind of program would be able to craft such a survey and who could we get to do it?
I'm sure any WN with a laptop would chomp at the bit to do this - I know I would!
Just a thought!:)
