George W. Bush President USA -125 That sort of blows the credibility of the entire list, doesn't it?
I'd peg Shrub around 110-115 tops.

Here is another gem:
Philip Emeagwali Mathematician Nigeria 190 http://www33.brinkster.com/iiiii/inventions/emeag.html
They think this coon is smarter than Plato or Kant? :rofl:hflol
here is the list that Sean just trimmed: http://www.archure.net/psychology/IQs.html
BTW, when I first posted this, the list Sean posted was much larger and contained several Africans, non-whites, etc. I don't know why Sean edited it and claimed that there were none on the list...

For some reason it wouldn’t post the entire list. It took 4 tries before it did that is why you may not have seen a URL either. Hitler is in red.

And they established the numbers on the basis of what?...
IQs usually contradict first hand experience:
1. Niggers are far less intelligent than their numbers show. IQ tests show "African Americans" having roughly the same intelligence as Arabs. This is preposterous and highly contradicted by first hand experience...
2. Women are far less intelligent than men, though they appear "equal" (what else!) in IQ tests. To prove that it's sufficient to have a look on their contribution to the advancement of mankind. To get them equal, IQ must measure smartness (which is very short sighted, given its goal is to adapt) rather than true intelligence (introspection, trying to get a mastery on reality, something no woman has been able to reach).

Only 2 Jews? Who do you suppose Garry Kasparov is? Why didn't they go ahead and include Lenin, Trotsky and Karl Marx as well? Geniuses I tell ya!
Hell add the Rothschilde family and the list is good to go.
Also Plato... Darwin? They weren't even alive for this test. The author just made numbers up.

Actually beside Bush’s IQ it has a negative. I will believe that.
Actually I think the dumb act is nothing more than just that, an act. The media will report on a simple grammatical error for months while ignoring the thousands of American lives Bush has cost and the trillions of dollars he has lost for America.

IQ wasn't even developed til 1912 so many of the people who they claim to have IQ's weren't around for the test, which makes it questionable.

I've always felt Bush's dumbo persona was completely phony. Just watch any of his speeches when he was governor of Texas, he wasn't nearly as inarticulate then as he suddenly became in 2000.

Many, if not most of those people lived before the advent of IQ tests, so how do we get their IQ scores now?

Personally I set no store by IQ tests. All they prove is whether you're good at completing quizzes - nothing to do with intelligence. If I were to sit and do an IQ test composed of "which pattern comes next" puzzles, the results would likely put me in the same category as someone who has to wear velcro-fastening shoes and isn't allowed out unsupervised.
Give me one based on words and I'd probably end up in the Guinness Book of Records or something, when the truth is, I'm just good at those tests and useless at any kind of pattern tests.
As others have stated, I'd also like to know how certain people on this list took the test when they died before it was implemented. Also, look at Andy Warhol - 86. Would you publicise that score if it were yours? I think not. I call hogwash.

The point is supposedly to test how well you do either but I could see why chess players are good at IQ tests. Chess requires you to memorize combinations and see patterns ;however, even relatively dumb people can get ahead in chess, it's mostly about how much time you put into it.
Someone told me that they took an IQ class that raised their test score by way more than 5 points as this site claims. They went from above average to genius. Why? Because the test is something you can study for just like any other test.
As for the "famous" people, I see tons who weren't even alive for this test especially the famous scientists and Rennaisance thinkers, and Plato? Holy shit.

Your right about this list, it's BS.
That crusty old whore, Madonna just sings trash. :puke:
If it wasn't for Jefferson we wouldn't have the Declaration of Independence.:)
Also there are about twelve inventions he contributed to society. (http://senselist.com/2006/10/27/12-things-thomas-jefferson-invented/)
He also contributed the idea of a decimal monetary system for America, the first in the world: (http://www.americanrevolution.com/ThomasJefferson.htm)
The death of his wife, on Sept. 6, 1782, added to Jefferson's troubles, but by the following year he was again seated in Congress. There he made two contributions of enduring importance to the nation. In April 1784 he submitted Notes on the Establishment of a Money Unit and of a Coinage for the United States in which he advised the use of a decimal system. This report led to the adoption (1792) of the dollar, rather than the pound, as the basic monetary unit in the United States.
Jefferson should be on the top ten list also.
