not a bad idea though, and the reading list is good. some of those books by Eric Carle are really good for kids. There is one about Chameleons that I swear must be about Jews. Anybody know the one I'm talking about?

Kids love mythology. Get a good book from BN with lots of pictures of Norse and Greco Roman art and stuff, it's very inspiring stuff. Learn the stories and retell them yourself. For your own reading, if you're not up on myths, Edith Hamilton's Mythology is the primer.
