Iguana Bar's alleged ban on patrons of Lebanese descent

A GROUP of young men was ejected from a Kings Cross nightspot after allegedly being told the venue had "an unwritten rule" about patrons of Lebanese descent.

Sydney draftsman Malkoun Taouk, 21, said he and his cousins, Charlie and Anthony Taouk, and their friend Sam Tarabay were "shocked and upset" by the request from a bouncer at the Iguana Bar in Kings Cross, made during a night out last Saturday.

Mr Taouk said the group, which was celebrating Charlie's 21st birthday, had spent about an hour at the venue and had just bought a second round of drinks when they were asked to go.

"The security guard approached us and said his boss told him to tell us to leave because it was pretty much an unwritten rule as to why we had to go," Mr Taouk said yesterday.

"We pretty much understood that it was because we were Lebanese."

Despite being hurt and angry about their treatment, the group decided to do as the security guard had requested.

"He said it in a nice way and he was patient with us and so we thought we'd just get our stuff and we left," Mr Taouk said.

"We thought if we sat there and argued with the guy, it'd just end up causing trouble and maybe a fight, so we just went.

"All we wanted was to have a few drinks and a bit of a laugh.

"We had no plans to make trouble with anyone and it was very upsetting to hear, 'Guys, you have to go'."

Mr Taouk said he had initially thought to challenge the bouncer about the Iguana Bar's "unwritten rule".

"We asked politely anyway, 'What rule are we breaking?'," he recalled. "(The response was,) 'No Lebanese, sorry'."

The fact that he and the rest of his party were, in fact, Australian-born just compounded the insult.

"I've always thought of myself as an Aussie and consider Australia my home. Why shouldn't I? Im an Australian citizen. I was born and raised in Sydney," Mr Taouk said.

The Iguana Bar did not return phone calls or emails yesterday.

Is it legal for this bar to ban Lebanese? In the U.S., the jews have passed public accommodations laws as part of the communist revolution called civil rights. Any business determined to be a public accommodation cannot discriminate on the basis of the usual categories. This includes all restaurants and hotels.

Under a series of anti-discrimination laws (the first of which was passed in 1975) it would be illegal to ban any racial, religious, or sexual preference group from licensed premises.
The Lebanese Muslims are a major problem here in Australia, especially in Sydney. The Lebanese Christians are still repulsive non-whites, but they have a significantly higher average IQ than the Muslims and generally behave themselves. I know several Lebanese Christians and they are all upstanding people from good families.
The Lebanese Muslims are raving misogynists who spend every moment that they are in bars trying to crack on to white girls (as trophies and as an expression of their hatred of both women and white people).
Among the Lebs the pack rape of white girls is a socially acceptable team sport.T.N.B.

Whether legal or not, it is still acceptable to do so.

For those involved in the "acceptable team sport" of gang raping (or otherwise) White girls, I would "deport" them from their physical existence.:)

Lebs are a huge problem here as well. I can only hope that we soon follow suit. I don't frequent night clubs, but they're everywhere else. There's a coffee shop on the corner, and it's become "Little Lebanon." I can hardly go to the store without having to dodge them spitting and blowing those huge chunks of snot out of their noses all over the sidewalk. All these Leb men, just stand around and talk. Actually they don't seem to talk so much as bicker with each other. They're in a continual argumentative state.

The younger ones are involved in gang activity. In fact yesterday at 11:30 am, just a block away from me, one was shot and killed in his car during a daylight drive by shooting. The cops haven't released his name yet, but I and my Mom recognized the car as belonging to a local drug dealer of middle eastern decent, probably Lebanese.

CALGARY - Calgary Police are looking for two people of interest regarding Calgary's 23rd murder of the year.

One man was seen running on Monday from the alley between 12th and 13th avenues, near 11 St. S.W., where gunshots were heard and a Pontiac crashed into a nearby fence.

A man was found dead in the car.

The runner is described as dark-skinned, early to mid 20s and wearing a hooded jacket. Police say they also have vague information about a second person of interest, but released no other information about that person.

The victim has not been publicly identified.

The shooting happened in broad daylight on Monday at 11:30 a.m. in a densely populated area of downtown Calgary.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday morning.

That's a little too close to home now.
