At work today this jig walks in and orders something to go. I took his money (which had 29 cents in return to him and he goes out in the hall to watch tv..then he comes back and asks me for the change...so i put the money down on the bar and he took the quarter and left me 4 pennies.)
I put the four pennies with his carry out and when he came to get it he snapped and told me that I had an attitude and that next time I better put the change in his hand rather then on the bar.

I told him that I wasnt putting SHIT into his hand and told him to get the fuck out.... (literally word for word and the whole bar full of white businessmen heard. He left mumbling under his breath telling people that I was a ignorant bitch.

This has bothered me all day since I truly realize that he was trying to pull the black asshole stunt on me and tried to intimidate me...(since I am a girl and white) and I stared his black ass right in the face like he was a nothing....and never let up.

now i am not sure what to do since he is an employee in the place that i work...although i dont see him much...I do see him walking past etc.....

I need advice...should I report him or fuck with him....I really dont want to get hurt...but I am sure that I will see him again and it wont be a casual pass by.

I told another co worker about it that came in for the afternoon shift and she said that she has had that happen to her also.

I am a little worried in a way because I will see him in the employee parking sooner or later and I know that the fact that I didnt back down made him an enraged silver back. i dont know his name but I told my boss that If he ever even looks at me sideways I will call security. My co workers became very aware of how I felt AFTER the incident, and I am REALLY glad that I didnt use any racial slurs at the jig at the moment since I was so pissed that I almost didnt even know what was coming out of my mouth.

Im going to by some pepper spray at a surplus store.....(I think I can carry it in the airport) and just try to avoid the asshole as much as possible.....If he ever says anything to me I will not back down....but I think that I will also report him every time he looks cross eyed at me. As for the gun thing....my ex boyfriend carried a gun everywhere and I felt a lot better when I was with him. I could take shooting classes and get one for the house but I am not sure If I would feel good about keeping one in my car...or if I even CAN keep one in my car.

I remember seeing a movie (probably produced by jews) where a bartender was jealous of his girlfriend's next door neighbor who was hitting on her.

The neighbor was a regular at the bar..........so the bartender hid some untraceable, colorless, no taste, slow-acting poison under the bar and waited for the neighbor to order his "usual".

The bartender "doctored" the guy's drink..........and that was the end of the neighbor.

This has absolutely nothing to do with your situation and I can't image why I even brought it up.

But my suggestion for you is:

Non-violence would probably be the best course of action for you to pursue. Maybe you could ask the afro-american gentleman if he might want to attend a unity meeting with you where you can discuss racial issues....and whereby, you as a White women can learn to better appreciate the sensitivities and needs of our afro-american brothers and sisters.

It is not an unproductive post. I'm actually glad you brought it up.

What pisses me off is when you don't take my advice and just blow it off. That happens a lot so that's why a few people don't take you seriously. If you don't have a boyfriend that will help you then ask for help, by all means.
