What he's now trying to do is create some sort of blending of WN and his 'other', leftist self. Trouble is, because the two are incompatible, it can't be done (there are joint issues, but race is not one of them). As usually happens, he's reverting to type. Unfortunately, he's become a mod on SF, so he's dragging the whole thing with him.

He's also incredibly arrogant. That, coupled with his political inexperience, has laid him open to manipulation by people who are much nastier and cleverer then himself.

Excellent analysis of Joy Tree. That's probably the best post explaining his personality and various transitions that I've seen. It would also tend to make sense when you consider how he admits to having many Black friends and Jewish friends in the past. You've got it...he was a LIBERAL until his wife died and then he CRACKED and needed a community and so he ended up as the oddest WN of the bunch. He is obviously an emotionally fragile little man.

Who counts the votes? Are they counted in-house, or put out to a third party like the Electoral Reform Society (who provide this service for quite a few organisations)?
