The best offense is a good defense, and you'd better stock up before the Cohen Act gets passed.

Ruger GP100 .357 revolver
Ruger makes excellent firearms. Not as expensive as the Colt Python, but with the same build quality. .357 has some kick, but .38's are potent enough.
Sig Sauer .45 ACP
.45 is my favorite caliber. Hit someone center mass and they are going down for a ten count. Won't take out the ten people standing behind him, either.
Ruger .22 rifle
Not great for home defense, but cheap and fun target practice.
Savage 30.06
Hit a fly in the ass at a hundred yards.
Shotgun
Just a antique shotgun a business associate gave me. Good for the Turkey Shoot but also very good for home defense.
Ammo - Black Talons, gun grabbers banned them for public consumption, claws open up on impact, not sure if still available
Federal Hydroshocks - can't go wrong with these
Note: Jim Crowe does not advocate violence of any sort.
