Our house, and my dad's house gets calls at least three times a day from a computer generated call center saying they have debt solutions for our credit cards. The funny thing is that my dad have never owned a credit card in his life.

When we hang on and press the # to talk to an agent to have them remove us from the call list they hang up on us. I have tried to call them back with a *69 but cannot.

What can I do??

April, are you on the National Do Not Call List (https://www.donotcall.gov/)? On there you can also file a complaint.

My Caller ID and my answering machine also help me screen calls. In one day, I received about nine calls but deleted them all later. :D

The harassment is probably not a glitch, but you probably figured that out.

The do not call list is useless. Caller ID is the best thing ever.

I just put us on the list.

I'm harrassed daily with these calls. Unfortunately, I have to answer all calls that come in on our phone, as it's also a business line. There are a few numbers I recognize and just ignore, but most often times it's a restricted number so I have to pick it up. Very, very frustrating.

If you go on-line and google the number, you'll most likely find people who have been bothered by the same numbers as well, and some have even tracked down email addresses and fax numbers. A few weeks ago, I sent 100 faxes to one telemarketing company (DnB Canada) with the same message. "Quit calling me! Put me on your do not call list. If I receive any more call from you, I will send you 100 faxes for every call I receive." Luckily they stopped, but there a few others that just keep at it.
