View Full Version : Organization of "Just In" Threads

Too many items that could easily be put into a category reside in the “Just In” section. This is a problem. If this forum is to be akin to a reference showcase for information, then you could quadruple its effectiveness in this capacity by having a time period of, say, one week in the “Just In” section, and then after that time period, have the thread moved to its appropriate category. The same thing would be good for “General Discussion”, except that would be a separation of threads that can be categorized more specifically. I love to refer to VNN for information that is relevant to our cause, or just for topic specific information. But because of the lump of disorganized information mass in the "Just In" section, much of this information may as well just be in the memory hole. For instance, the “Black on White Crime” section hardly has anything in it. The reason is that a huge number of the threads that belong there are sitting in the “Just In” section. The same is true for such things as discussions of movies in the "General Discussion" section. It would be much more aesthetic and practical to have an organizational element implemented that resolves this inefficient aspect, either through a person physically correcting it or a rule abstractly preventing it.

I agree, though I place the blame on the users that don't put stories in the appropriate sections. Too many things that should be in sports, movies, books (and esp black on white crime) etc end up in 'this just in' or 'general discussion'. There are also loads of duplicate threads spread out over the forum. It might be a bit too much to ask Alex to sort it all, but he already removed all the mods so...

I would more than happy to do it. If there is some way to just limit my power to doing this and nothing else, I will be up for the task. I like doing that sort of thing. Hence the reason I gathered Brutus' all time greatest posts. Alex has to delegate some things, I'd imagine. The array of sections will have a kind of “wow" effect if each of them is filled to the brim with interesting and relevant threads.

William, I accept your offer to help. You don't need mod powers to help us edit and shape a good crime section, which is the part that interests you. I agree with your criticism to an extent, but have been focused on the jews/white family and free-speech sections.
The way to handle this is through sticky threads addressing specific argument needs. Antis always claim whites are serial killers and child molestors. Therefore, we need threads on:
1) black serial killers
2) black child molestors
These threads should include studies as well as stories about specific crimes, and pictures of criminals and victims (which can be used in our papers).
3) mudshark thread (white girls victimized by niggers), along with data on interracial relationships
4) hush crimes (our unique term; we need a file of these for easy reference, along with the overall data as supplied by Dept. of Justice/FBI)
5+) ?
I suggest we rename the black-on-white crime archive simply Crime. And use it to track every species of crime we need to, including jewish.
You pull things together as you see fit in line with the above, I will stick the threads. If you look, you can see that many of the necessary threads are already there, but people don't want to use them.
Let me know your ideas.

Anyone with ideas on how best to sort crime, let us know.
What are most helpful, in my view, are easy-reference files of whichever crime we're focusing on.
Here are X nig serials, molestors, hush criminals, mudshark-murderers, jew swindlers. Here are the studies documenting danger of interracial relationships vs same-race. Etc.

SOME of the threads have this value, many or most do not. You can see from what I have archived where I think the value lies. The rest, if not copied or moved, can be dug up through the search function.

Initially, I was thinking that the actual threads themselves could be moved to appropriate areas. The way that you say seems like a good idea, but a lot more work. Nevertheless, it would be nice and neat to have links cleanly listed in a succinctly titled sticky. I will undertake this process. But, people should be more mindful of how their threads are categorized. Along with grammar, if I see anyone around who puts something in "Just In" that clearly falls into a category/section, I am going to tell them they should put it in its respective place.
"Just In" should be clearly defined, I think. It should not be a repository for those who are just too lazy to categorize. Wouldn't it make this place much more appealing to have rich and defined sections rather than everything lumped together into a lazy "Just In" section?
Well, for now, I am going to start from the beginning of the "Just In" section and scan the headlines. After going through all of them, dominant theme's should stand out, and superfluous ones will fall by the wayside. I'll start making lists with your suggestions in mind.

1) black serial killers
2) black child molestors
3) mudshark thread
4) hush crimes
Coming right up. But, I am only going to focus on what we have here, for now. If a link does not work, I will make a reference to the thread itself.

Of course threads can be moved. They can also be linked.
The guiding principle should be, which arrangement of the information is best for the reader/researcher?

They can be moved or copied, just give me the urls.

Just let me know and I'll move/copy it.
Look how I've done the law thread: links to relevant threads for full info, but copying of the most substantial posts from the foreign links. For crime/mudshark or crime/hush we want the reader to be able to read, fairly quickly, through a few dozen stories complete with pictures, news articles and links. And then if we have study data on that particular topic, that too. These stickied links are intended to serve as archives, so the material in them is edited, which is why it doesn't hurt to COPY rather than move threads. Just a matter of organizing, selecting, and presenting material so the reader can go through it quickly and get exactly what he wants.

I don't agree. It's for news, which is itself a category. And plenty of news doesn't fit neatly into this or that category, it's the most recent stuff that happened.
General discussion is for discussion of specific ideas, happenings, or questions. In practice, people tend to treat TJI and GD as the same thing, but most potential items fit clearly into one rather than the other category, if people will think before posting.

Yes. It should be possible to go through the two main forums fairly quickly, collecting the urls of the relevant threads. Divide them by crime category, forward them to me and i'll move or copy them.

What about the so call White collar crimes, which mostly seem to be committed by jews?

We can do a file on whatever we want. Jewish swindlers, for example.

William, I'm going to create all new sticky threads. Just easier that way. Then we'll extract info from other posts and threads to fill it, creating the proper format from post one.

That would certainly be nice if someone helped with that. As a reader, I find it very annoying to go to Just In and see it crapflooded with news on celebrities or pop culture that should be in "Movies", "Music", or "Media Criticism".

I got distracted yestday. Today I am on top of it. I am actually going to start with General Discussion because it goes back further in time. I have an 8 column table in Word right now with each of the subjects you stickied (except the SA one).

Ok - I went through the entire (newly named) Crime back pages yesterday, so it's all up to date and easy to add to going forward. I think the best way to do it is to have 3 posts at the top of these threads:
- crime index (specific crimes by year, most recent on top)
- studies (setting the individual crimes in context)
- sources (places people can go to do research these crimes, find new ones)
These are stickied. Below them are the threads for the individual crime stories. Posters should copy the text of relevant article, as well as including the links, because many stories get 404d within two years.
One interesting point: ALL the video links to hush crimes were down, except one. So, there's either some general reason or specific reason that these videos end up getting taken down or moved on LiveLeak and Youtube. We need to get these videos up at Podblanc and then embedded in our video file.

A niggers killing/abusing animals would be a good sub-forum.
Even the most die-hard nigger lover would have compassion for animals that were tortured/killed by coons.

Good idea, Ed. I'll start such a thread next time I see a case.
