David Duke wrote about the White Citizen council in "My Awakening" , local meeting places with plenty of books and literature to read about race problems. It sounded like they were only located in the south. Does anybody know what happened to them? I would guess they became harder to keep open with the rise of black power in the 1960's. I saw a guy speaking on the history channel from the early 1960's on one of their documentaries, and he said "you want another civil war, you try and push them n@@@gers on us and you're going to get one". Another guy was shown speaking and he said " they say they want equal rights but what they really want is white women".
Does anybody know more about the white citizens council, who the leaders were and what happened to them?
