From his messageboard - compare the first sentence with the last. It's one of the mysteries of life that parents who can be educated also have children who can be educated. This is something we will never understand, just like the Holocaust. Haha.

Eugenics is not a valid science. Race has little or nothing to do with poorly performing students. Some perform poorly in school because they're attending school without any preparation. A student is prepared to learn when they've received adequate rest, food, and exposure to some reading before the start of kindergarten. It is the job of parents to prepare students. Even a highly acclaimed teacher cannot do much to penetrate the mind of a student who deals with poverty, fatigue, and family issues at home. Many of the inner-city students have not even touched a book before they started attending school. Also, educated parents tend to have children who do well in school. If one's parents read and do math at a fourth grade level, then it will be challenging for the student to rise above his parents' lack of knowledge.
