OpenOffice 3.0, the freeware equivalent to M$ Office, is finally available for download and distribution. This version offers support to work with Office 2007 and Office 2008 for Mac documents, amongst other improvements. I'm on it now and it looks good.

Get it while it's hot.
Ironically, earlier today I saw old copies of OpenOffice for sale in a box under the name “ProOffice”. If you ask me, I see it as kinda a cheap ripoff of people who are really only buying a CD of what's already free but at least they'd only be out of a few bucks in the process. :(
Anyone in Paris? The OO.o team is having a party: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/10/10/openoffice_org_party/
