OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. -- The general manager of a Memphis-area conference center hotel has resigned, saying he received threats over a white power group's planned meeting at the facility next month.

Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke is promoting the Nov. 7-9 event billed as the "European American Unity and Rights Conference" at the Whispering Woods Hotel and Conference Center.

Whispering Woods manager Travis Murray said Wednesday he quit after his work telephone number and work e-mail address were distributed in an e-mail by the Memphis-based civil rights group Mid-South Peace and Justice Center, which says it tracks the white power group. Murray said he had received telephone calls from individuals who said they know his home address. [Gee, that's what Bill White's in jail for!]

Center officials say they sent the e-mail so that members could let Whispering Woods know the hotel might lose business for hosting the conference.

Jacob Flowers, director of the Peace and Justice Center, said no personal information about Murray was included in the group's e-mail and that his group condemns any violence.

Duke, who describes himself as a white civil rights advocate, said In a statement posted on his Web site the conference aims to "issue a clarion call" for a white power movement across the United States.

"This conference will be the first powerful voice of our people in reaction and protest to the election, and the lack of any real choice and any real democracy in America," Duke said in the statement.

Duke told The Memphis Commercial Appeal that his group has a right to gather at a hotel that is open to the public, and Whispering Woods could not legally refuse their business.

"If a black group was refused, there would be civil rights lawsuits being filed," he told the newspaper. "We have the same rights."

A statement issued by Whispering Woods on Wednesday said it was initially unaware of the nature of the group holding the conference but that it was legally obligated to host it.

Flowers said the group had initially identified its event as an environmental advocacy conference, and Whispering Woods mailed a contract.

Flowers said the environmental group's name was crossed out and replaced with the European American Unity name when the contract was returned. The contract was then signed by a hotel official, although not by Travis Murray.

Honestly all I could smell downtown was urine. The ABC camera following us has me talking about how the town is a "sewer" and that it is the kind of place that should be "washed off the face of the earth".....later, after Katrina they decided not to include that part in the final show since it came true and it made me kindof seem like a prophetess.... The ABC guy said, "April they would hate you guys if I included that part, now that NO is full of victims". I just received a phone call from the hotel cancelling my reservation. The lady told me the conference will not be held at their hotel.

The owners of Whispering Woods Hotel and Conference Center, where the European-American Unity and Rights Conference was scheduled for Friday through Sunday, issued a statement this afternoon calling off the event.

“The owners of Whispering Woods Hotel and Conference Center have cancelled the use of our facilities for the EURO conference scheduled for November 7-8,” the release stated. “We are committed to the safety and well being of our customers, guest and employees.”

Whispering Woods officials declined comment beyond the short release, which added:

“Whispering Woods Hotel and Conference Center has a long and positive history in the City of Olive Branch and has every desire to continue to be a positive influence in the DeSoto County community.

“We would like to thank the leaders of the City of Olive Branch for working with us through this difficult and unfortunate chain of events.”

Organizers of the conference could not be reached immediately for comment.

The white power group, with which former Louisiana legislator and KKK figure David Duke has been linked, had contracted to use the Olive Branch facility for the weekend session that was expected to draw an undisclosed number of participants and possibly as many protesters.

Whispering Woods officials said earlier they were unaware of the nature of group when thecontract was signed.

The facility’s management consulted an attorney, who determined there was a contractual obligated to let the group meet at the hotel. It was unclear from Tuesday’s statement what caused operators to reverse their position.

DeSoto County supervisors Monday had declared a state of emergency effective Friday in preparation for possible problems. Officials said the declaration would allow them to call in extra law enforcement if needed.

The state of emergency was to begin at 8 a.m. Friday and continue for seven days, which is the standard period of time for an emergency declaration.

As the official day of voting gets ready to begin come Tuesday morning Nov. 4, DeSoto County has begun operating under a state of emergency as a white power conference prepares to take place in Olive Branch, Mississippi this coming weekend.

According to reports, the declaration will continue for seven days and additional law enforcement will be brought in to prevent disruption due to the European-American Unity and Rights Organization (EURO) which is being promoted by the former (KKK) leader David Duke.


Although the three-day event will begin Friday in Olive Branch, MS at the Whispering Woods Hotel and Conference Center, currently law enforcement has begun early in locking down neighboring streets and areas.

Sheriff Mark Luttrell in Shelby County, TN is stated to have agreed to provide up to an additional 50 deputies to assist Desoto County Sheriff Department according to DeSoto County Sheriff Bill Rasco.

Election day hours begin, Tuesday, November 4, 2008 from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm in Shelby County (Bartlett, Collierville, Germantown, Memphis, Millington…).

According to his website, the purpose of the conference stems from the possibility of a black president being elected Tuesday. Over the past month, or so, Duke's statements on his website have become more explicit as to the reason for the conference as nationwide polls indicate the strong possibility that presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) will indeed win.

On his website, Duke claims that "leftists and other assorted anti-White racists" tried to "intimidate the hotel and shut down our International EUROPEAN - AMERICAN conference."

Duke also refers to the event as an "historic gathering of White people who will stand up and declare that we not go quietly into the night with the prospect of a Black radical President of the United States!"

"Coming four days after the election for President, there is no more timely gathering for our people to stand up and tell the nation and the world that we oppose the prospects of this 'election from hell,'" Duke continues.

DeSoto County is within the Memphis, Tennessee metro area, but with a county-wide population of 149,393 and a population of 30,635 in Olive Branch, the area doesn't have many law enforcement personnel.

With the uncertainty surrounding the white-power conference, the DeSoto County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on Monday to declare a state of emergency effective beginning at 8 a.m. Friday.

Olive Branch conference center manager quits amid flap about meeting

The general manager of Whispering Woods Hotel and Conference Center in Olive Branch resigned Wednesday afternoon because of threats related to a white-power group's upcoming conference at the facility.

"I'm getting lots of phone calls saying they know my home address," Travis Murray said shortly after resigning. "My wife is scared. My family's in jeopardy."

Murray said the threatening messages were even more injurious since "my name's not even on the contract."

The resignation came after the Memphis-based Mid-South Peace and Justice Center distributed to members an e-mail containing Murray's work telephone number and work e-mail address. No personal information about Murray was included.

Jacob Flowers, director of the Peace and Justice Center, said the intent was for members to point out to Whispering Woods that the hotel might lose business if it goes forward with providing facilities for the European American Unity and Rights Conference, scheduled for Nov. 7-9.

The Peace and Justice Center has been monitoring the group's activities.

"The Mid-South Peace and Justice Center condemns any acts of violence and intimidation against Mr. Murray," Flowers said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with him."

Whispering Woods issued a statement Wednesday saying it was initially unaware of the nature of the group holding the conference but that it was legally obligated to host it.

He denied anyone tried to hide the name of the group or the purpose from Whispering Woods management.

Flowers, whose organization monitors white-power activities and promotes human rights, said they won't give the group any attention while they're in town.

The Mid-South Peace and Justice Center does not want Whispering Woods officials to open up the hotel to a potential lawsuit, Flowers said.

It did ask hotel officials, however, to issue a statement supporting equal rights and condemning bigotry. Flowers said it also wants the hotel to offer employees time off with pay during the conference so workers won't possibly be subjected to slurs and insults. Black employees are among the hotel staff.

The hotel issued a statement late Wednesday that seemed to at least partly meet the request.

"Whispering Woods does not discriminate against any individual or group of individuals, nor does Whispering Woods support the mission of any such individuals or businesses that contract for our facilities and services," the statement says.

Murray, prior to his resignation, said the hotel had not decided on the paid time off.

Girding for the possibility of trouble when a white-power conference comes to Olive Branch this weekend, DeSoto County officials Monday voted to declare a state of emergency starting Friday to facilitate adding law enforcement if needed.

The DeSoto County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously in favor of the declaration.

The state of emergency will begin at 8 a.m. Friday and continue for seven days, which is the standard period of time for an emergency declaration.

It allows county government to bring in additional law enforcement to cope with possible disturbances that might arise during the European-American Unity and Rights Organization gathering at Whispering Woods Hotel and Conference Center Friday through Sunday.

David Duke, a former Louisiana legislator and former Ku Klux Klan figure, has been associated with the group. It's unclear how many will attend the conference.

Supervisor Jessie L. Medlin [yes, there is a Rabbi Medlin]sought the emergency declaration "because of an event that poses a risk to the public safety."

The declaration gives county officials access to private property, which they would not have without the declaration, and it gives the scene commander the authority to deal with the situation, according to Bobby Storey, director of emergency management for county government.

However, Storey said the main reason for the declaration beginning Friday is that "it allows us to bring law enforcement officers across state lines and to deputize them, authorizing them to make arrests, if needed."

DeSoto County Sheriff Bill Rasco said he has already been in contact with Shelby County officials, and Shelby County Sheriff Mark Luttrell has agreed to provide up to 50 deputies to assist.

Storey said additional officers could also be brought in from Southaven, Horn Lake and Hernando, but he said Olive Branch Police Chief Art Heun most likely would be the on-scene commander.

One person and a group of students have expressed an interest in demonstrating, Heun said. He would not identify the person or group, and no permits are required for public areas.

"People have a right to assemble," Heun said. "We will have an area set aside for them to demonstrate. It'll be taped off on Hacks Cross Road."
Should they stray onto private property, such as the hotel lot, and the owner asks them to leave and they refuse, Heun said police will be prepared to arrest violators for trespassing.

"We made contingency plans based on various scenarios," Heun said. "There's a number of different scenarios that could occur."

Law enforcement from areas outside of the city and county will only be called if and when they are needed, Heun said.

Storey said additional ambulance units will be on standby.

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) - A Mississippi hotel kicked them out, but Action News 5 has learned a white supremacy group will still come to Memphis this weekend.

Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke says on his website that he and his followers are still coming.

In a news release Tuesday, management the Whispering Woods Hotel in Olive Branch - where the white supremacy conference was to be held - said the meeting had been canceled. But Duke says members will be in town anyway, and the group will meet regardless.

"We're going to meet in Memphis," Duke says in an audio message on his website. "We're going to find a place to meet."

The remarks were part of a half-hour radio show broadcast on his website Tuesday evening.

"We're not going to simply roll over and play dead and say, 'Okay, take away our rights.' We're going to struggle and fight for our rights and our heritage," Duke says.

When news of the conference initially spread, the Whispering Woods Hotel came under fire from the NAACP and the Mid-South Peace and Justice Center.

Duke said EURO fights to preserve European heritage, and that it plans to sue the hotel for breaching their contract. Duke added EURO will hold its conference somewhere in Memphis this weekend regardless.

"Those of you ready to come, we're going to see you there. We're going to meet. And we may have one of the best, most spiritual, and powerful gatherings of our people," he said.

EURO is not releasing the meeting time or location. Instead, the organization is asking registered participants to come to Memphis, and then contact EURO for the necessary information.

During his radio broadcast, Duke said he would hold a press conference, but we have not gotten word of one yet.

Action News 5's attempts to contact Duke through his headquarters Wednesday were unsuccessful.

Okay, I am not a troll, and I have been here and stormfront as a guest. My dad was originally going to the conference. He was not feeling well and then with everything that happened, conference getting cancelled, obama getting elected, etc. he decided not to go. When he told me that they cancelled the conference, it infuriated me. We got into a big discussion about constitutional rights violation. and I told him that I would go in his place. I wasnt too interested before, but that really rubbed me the wrong way. And no, I do not want to go into a strange city, especially one with a violent history, without knowing anyone. White power leader David Duke isn't changing his plans to hold a conference in the Mid-South. The Whispering Woods Hotel in Olive Branch, where the International European-American Conference was planned, backed out Wednesday. While Duke's office isn't revealing exactly where the conference will be held, his followers are dropping hints.

David Duke confirms on his website that the International European-American Conference will go on even if the Olive Branch hotel site backed out.

"I hope to see many of you in Memphis," said on his web site. "We're going to have a meeting there."

A message board linked to Duke's website talked about the conference now moving to Germantown.

On a white nationalist's radio show, Duke said the Whispering Woods cancellation will cost $25,000 after months of work to put it together.

The Olive Branch Hotel said it backed out because it is "committed to the safety and well-being of [its] customers, guests, and employees."

"I've never had anyone injured in my meetings in any hotels," Duke said. "These communists' threats are usually what they are, just threats."

Desoto County Sheriff Bill Rasco isn't taking any chances. He's standing by his call to issue a state of emergency during the conference this weekend.

"We didn't know with this being a white supremacists group, we didn't know what would happen with Mr. Duke," he said. "He's not a violent person, but some of the people who follow him do tend to cause some problems."

The state of emergency in Desoto Count starts Friday and runs for seven days. Rasco said he could call it off sooner if he knows for sure there's no threat of violence in Desoto County.

FOX13 has also learned law enforcement agencies in Shelby County are watching for Duke.

His office said if he's not in the Mid-South area already, he will be by Friday. His office said he will hold a press conference Friday.

David Duke was a no-show Wednesday in Memphis, where he said he would be traveling to discuss an Olive Branch hotel's cancellation of accommodations for a white power gathering. Instead, he said he would be here today.

"I'm on the way to Memphis now," the ex-Ku Klux Klan leader and former Louisiana legislator said late Wednesday afternoon. "We have a lot to say."


Duke said he would be holding a news conference in Memphis and would reveal the location of it a few hours prior to it starting.

Though Duke said he would discuss the election of the nation's first African-American president, he originally planned to speak in Memphis because of the European-American Unity and Rights Conference.

Management of Whispering Woods Hotel and Conference Center in Olive Branch originally said they felt contractually obligated to supply rooms for conference-goers Friday-Sunday.

They had been unaware of the nature of the conference when the contract was signed. On Election Day, however, Whispering Woods announced it would not provide accommodations.

Duke called that "un-American."

According to Duke's Web site, the group has secured an alternative, undisclosed location for the conference, and those who registered will be receiving information about the site.

Law enforcement agencies are continuing to observe Duke and the group to prepare for any trouble that might lay ahead.

Prior to the hotel's canceling rooms, protesters expressed an interest in demonstrating against the group.

Former KKK leader David Duke said today a white power conference will go on at a different Mid-South location.

The European-American Unity and Rights Conference was scheduled at the Whispering Woods Hotel and Conference Center in Olive Branch, but the hotel later canceled the contract after the nature of the conference came to light and controversy soon followed.

(Memphis 11/06/08) European American Unity and Rights Organization President David Duke says his white power group will hold their global conference in the Memphis area this weekend.

The conference was canceled Tuesday after the hotel hosting EURO canceled the group's reservations.

During a press conference in Northeast Memphis Thursday afternoon, Duke announced EURO will hold their conference a secret location in Mississippi.

The former Louisiana legislator refused to give out details about the conference's location, citing fears about safety.

Duke said, "We thought about just canceling and trying to reschedule in the spring, but we realized that would be a victory for the terrorists and the enemies of freedom of speech."

Duke said the owner of Whispering Woods Hotel and Conference Center in Olive Branch told him he decided against allowing EURO to meet at his facilities because of fears about death threats.

MEMPHIS, TN - Despite being kicked out out of an Olive Branch hotel, and several others, David Duke and his International EURO Conference have found a meeting place. Duke announced Thursday the meeting would be held at a secret location. Members gathered Saturday at the Memphis Plaza Hotel & Suites on Shelby Oaks Dr. near Sycamore View Rd.

The group of about 100 participants, met at the East Memphis hotel to discuss issues that Duke says are "vital to European Americans." According to Duke's official website, "The European American Unity and Rights Conference is dedicated to defending the heritage and rights of European Americans."

Memphis police were on hand in case of any problems, but the event went smoothly.

This is the third International EURO Conference held by the white civil rights activist. The first EURO Conference was held in New Orleans in 2004. Duke says now is an important time for the group because of President Elect Obama. Duke says Obama has a record of anti-white racism and is close with an anti-white church leader, Rev. Wright.

The stunning second-place showing by far-right candidate Jean Marie Le Pen in last week's French elections dropped a bombshell on France's fat-cat political establishment and sent Europe's Left into a state of convulsive hysteria.

Written off as a has-been only months ago, the 72-year old Le Pen and his National Front Party won more votes than Lionel Jospin's Socialists, who have long contested or shared power with France's center right in a cozy system infused with corruption, chicanery, and cynicism. Many of the 17% of French who voted for Le Pen's party clearly did so as a protest against the scandals that have buffeted both President Jacque Chirac's center-right coalition and the united Socialist-Communist left. Le Pen's victory was also due to surging crime, low voter turnout, and numerous minor protest candidates who fragmented the leftwing vote.

France's political establishment and Europe's Left are loudly damning Le Pen as a neo-fascist or neo-nazi, conveniently ignoring the fact that `nazi' is a wartime contraction for the proper name of Hitler's party - the National Socialists. The right fears him, thunders Le Pen, because he represents `the little man' and is determined to expose the deep corruption of France's pampered political elite, notably Chirac's slush funds, freebie trips, and the truckloads of cash delivered to politicians each month for their `confidential' use.

In 1990, I spent two days with Le Pen, mostly in his elegant late 19th century villa outside Paris, during which he gave me some rare insights into his personality and thinking. Sitting on his terrace overlooking, sipping white wine, speaking in peppery French, Le Pen told me about his life.

`Stop immigration totally, stop letting family members in,' says Le Pen, `deport all illegal immigrants.' Such language resonates across Europe, which is being swamped by a flood Third World immigrants and criminal elements. Righwing parties in Belgium, Italy, Denmark, Holland, Austria, and Switzerland are making similar demands.

Le Pen's calls for slashing government and taxes, a crackdown on crime, outlawing abortion to reverse population decline, and investigation of rampant corruption among the political elite find many willing ears in France and across Europe. So too his dramatic call for France to quit the European Union, drop the Euro currency, and reassert its sovereignty. Le Pen calls for a `Europe of nations' in place of a Europe run by a remote, left-dominated super-bureaucracy in Brussels.

But in his more relaxed moments, Le Pen's views become far more extreme. He is an equal-opportunity anti-semite. Le Pen despises both Arabs and Jews. Le Pen told me, `Jews have conspired to rule the world through their power over international finance. They are using their influence over government and media to promote mixture with lesser races and corrupt the purity of Europe's blood,' claimed Le Pen. `The Jews created communism and tried to use it as a means of world domination.' Well, put yourself in Duke's shoes. Black has the attention of Stormfront's thousands. Duke is virtually alone, and living and working for The Cause in Europe. Having just finished reading the entire essay, I think it's largely paranoid bullshit with a grain of truth here and there. But anything is possible, I suppose. However, the author needs to present better evidence than spelling errors in an article. As I've said, I like David Duke.

500 or so attended Duke's previous national conference. All were jew-wise and very racially aware white nationalists. If not for the sabotage, the 08 conference would have been at least as big. Maybe much bigger. The conference was not however, intended to include lemmngs. The local public was not invited.

You raise a good question, though. Are whites, in general, yet ready to come together at mass pro-white rallies ?? In view of Obama, I believe they are, especially southern whites.

Duke has some strong words for our nation as it elects its first black president. However, he won't be able to share [EXPRESS] those words in several places in Tennessee. Two areas near Memphis dismissed [DENIED] Duke and his group [HIS CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS].

He wanted to stage his white civil rights group conference at the Whispering Woods Hotel and Conference Center, but after receiving some criticism [AND THREATS FROM JOSHUA FLOWERS OF THE PEACE AND JUSTICE CENTER], it canceled Duke's plans at the location. Duke was not happy with the move and says they are playing with his rights. "And certainly, we have the right to express them in Memphis, Tennessee, New Orleans or Chicago, or anywhere else in this country," he says.

According to WMC-TV, the Drury Inn in Memphis also turned Duke and his associates away . First, Duke was told he could not hold a news conference inside the hotel, where he had checked in for the night. Duke was later told [BY TWO POLICEMAN] to leave the hotel altogether. In a statement, a Drury Hotels spokesperson in [B]St. Louis said, "The safety, security and undisturbed stay of our guests is always the #1 priority of Drury Hotels. In light of the recent events involving Mr. David Duke and out of concern for our guests, Mr. Duke has been relocated [KICKED OUT]."

This fact that you have pointed out enables a conflict of interest. People don't generally bite the hand that financially feeds them when they are desparate. Perhaps the origin of this money trail needs to be examined closely.

The flow of easy money has corrupted the ideals and has changed the direction of many men. How much money would it take to for you to change any of your positions? Usually best to have two hotels booked. Have the 'back-up' ready just in case the first hotel gets canned with a redirection point. That is expensive though.

Breaking news about the David Duke Convention cancellation in Memphis

To all -

let me just say that I was not registered for the Euro-American
convention, although in a normal world and in a safe America I might
have wanted to attend. And let me just add that what David Duke has
experienced is "old hat" for Revisionists - in other words, Holocaust
skeptics. For years, this kind of treatment has happened to us - it
has happened even to me in my own home town when I tried to rent a
meeting room for a simple fundraiser after Ernst was arrested and I
had to find ways to pay for various court in three countries on two
continents.


This is a very significant development - and all patriots ought to
take heed. I consider it a positive development, although very
painful for the individuals involved - for it shows the claws and the

Here is an update on the struggle with David Duke. I have been in
the war room with Representative Duke for the past 48 hours and have
been working with him to call the 200+ registered conference
attendees and advise them of the alternate plans.

I also organized the press conference for Duke yesterday, which was
attended by four network affiliates and a variety of newspapers.
Just google the Memphis tv affiliates (Channels 3, 5, 13, and 24) to
watch the coverage.

One unnamed journalist did write an honest recap, which he privately
e-mailed to Duke last night. You can read it for yourself below.

We're fighting like lions here in Memphis to show that we won't let
our most basic rights be taken from us. David Duke was not even
allowed to sleep in a hotel room yesterday that he reserved for his
private accommodation. I was with him at The Drury Inn in
Memphis when its manager and two police officers came to remove Duke
after they declared him to be a "security risk."

When you don't have the right to assemble, to have your legally
binding contracts be honored, or even book a hotel room, then you
have no rights at all. Never before have I seen more clearly the
writing on the wall. This is the future we can expect unless we stop
it. As much pain as I've endured this week, I still consider it to
be an honor to suffer for the Cause...to live on the front lines.

The strain has been almost unbearable, but we will meet; we will have
this conference on Saturday.

I will write more about this next week after I have time to rest. I
haven't slept or eaten very much at all since Monday.

The following is a letter we received from a journalist who attended
Dr. David Duke's press conference on Thursday, November 6th.

I am a journalist who attended Dr. David Duke's press conference
today and I was shocked by the biased newspaper article I saw on the
Commercial Appeal website about it. I can't write about it in the
publication I work for because I would lose my job for simply telling
the truth about this matter.

I don't agree with the politics of David Duke, but I consider myself
a real journalist who aspires to write honestly and not bring my own
prejudices to my work. I treat everyone, whether I agree with them or
not with the same degree of respect and fairness. That's why I
referred to Dr. David Duke with the "Dr." title, just as my articles
on Dr. Martin Luther King refer to him with "Dr." because that is his
proper title. Dr. Duke is a PhD just as Dr. Martin Luther King was.

The Commercial Appeal article headlined: "Duke says white power
conference set for new location." In actual fact, Dr. Duke does not
and has never used the slogan, "White Power." The first thing Dr.
Duke did at the press conference was to point out that he wasn't a
"White Power" advocate but a white civil rights advocate. He also
clearly stated he was not a "white supremacist" but believed in equal
rights for all "even for white people." He contends that Whites face
widespread racial discrimination in affirmative action hiring,
promotions, scholarships and college admissions, and that government
immigration policies will damage the long term, intrinsic interests

Reporting on the cancellation of the original meeting, the Commercial
Appeal reporter wrote,

"The European-American Unity and Rights Conference was scheduled at
the Whispering Woods Hotel and Conference Center in Olive Branch, but
the hotel later canceled the contract after the nature of the
conference came to light and controversy soon followed."

No, the conference was canceled after the hotel received terroristic
threats and after a State of Emergency was declared in Desoto County
by the Sheriff's Office.

There has been no outrage by the media or by authorities at this
provocation. I wonder what the Commercial Appeal would be writing if
a NAACP national conference would have been canceled by White
terrorist threats? The outrage would have been national if not world
wide. The FBI would have certainly sent a task force down to
uncover and prosecute the violators of civil rights.

Once The Drury Inn found out that the press planned to interview
David Duke in his hotel room at 2 pm today, they refused to allow it.
Dr. Duke honored the hotel's request and met with the press
meeting outside on public property. Later, the Drury Inn kicked Dr.
Duke out of the hotel completely, saying that he couldn't stay at the
Drury Inn because the hotel had received threats. I wonder what the
reaction to all this would have been if Jesse Jackson had been kicked
out of the Drury Inn.

None of this was reported by the Commercial Appeal, in fact they
didn't even mention the cause of the cancellation of Duke's
conference: terrorist threats against this organization and the
hotel. America is now allowing punks who make threats to take away
our most precious constitutional rights of freedom of speech and
freedom of assembly. The human rights lawyer from Russia, had every
right to be shocked by the fact that we are no longer the land of the
free, and we Americans have every reason to be ashamed.

Through all this, David Duke and EURO will meet somewhere in the
Memphis area on Saturday and Sunday.

Usually best to have two hotels booked. Have the 'back-up' ready just in case the first hotel gets canned with a redirection point. That is expensive though.

Only way around it is for us to have our own meeting halls...and that takes money.


The thing to do is to reserve a block of rooms in the hotel that you hold the convention in.

That way the hotel won't cancel it because they will lose a shit load of money from all those hotel rooms being empty.

Did people individually reserve their hotel rooms? I'm guessing they did. See that is where the problem is.

You need to create a corporation for the event and have the people buy their ticket from the corporation and the corporation buys up all the hotel rooms from the hotel corporation.

That way you have one plantiff in court if there is a dispute, which intimidates the hotel. The hotel could not care less if they have 50 rooms booked by 50 people. They are used to screwing little people that are not organized, and know that most people wont take the time out of their busy schedules to sue them individually and it will be held in small claims court rather than real court.

I tell you what..I do not agree most on stormfront. For example..i believe all fags should be shot ( some on Sf believe they should be allowed privacy in "their own homes.. regardless of the fact they shove it down kids throats daily in schools and flaunt their faggotry in public).

Somebody said that Jared Taylor puts a clause in his contracts that the place has to pay him 20 grand if they cancel on him. Definitely something to think about for future Conferences, don't ya think?

If Duke's folks will shop around, I believe they could find a good law firm that'll file the lawsuit on contingency. That way, it won't cost Duke a cent, and if the lawsuit is won, Duke will get 2/3rds of the money.

Duke won't sue. Unless you've been involved in criminal or civil litigation you don't know what a drain it can be on one's emotions, time, and finances. I don't know of any law firm that would take such a case on a contingency fee. Maybe one of the legal professionals will chime in with their opinion regarding my position.

One must pick one's battles and I see civil litigation as a huge waste of one's time unless there is a clear cut violation of a known law that one can win in a subverted legal system. In this case I think most lawyers would see it just the same.

Only when the 100 participants are ready to go to jail and cause a drain of the system's resources will any real change take place. Just imagine the cost to the city, county, or state when 100 people are arrested on bogus charges and each of them demand a trial by jury. Think of the costs including time and money associated with those proceedings that the those governments will have to incur.

You must be prepared to overload the system. Overwhelm it with such resistance that it must pay attention and honor your Rights. A government is a corporation. The best way to overwhelm a corporation is through paper bullets. Drain its time and resources that it would otherwise use stealing easy money from those less resistant to tyranny.

My thoughts on the recent EURO conference (“EURO” being the “European-American Unity and Rights Organization founded by Dr. David Duke).

First, our rights as whites were sure violated:
--a hotel canceling the meeting after death threats on the manager and his family!
--at another hotel where Dr. Duke was of course peacefully staying, he was expelled by the manager -- and two cops!! -- from his hotel room!
--De Soto County (Mississippi) passed an anti-gathering ordinance against EURO -- in total disregard of the First Amendment's guarantee of the right to peaceful assembly!
--and a police helicopter and bullying cops then terrorized a comrade out in the countryside into not letting us use even his rural home location (out in the sticks) for the meeting!

Here is a Podblanc of me being interviewed by ABC-TV, WPTY, Memphis Eyewitness News, at the Duke-EURO conference! (I was already in mid-interview when I heard from a friend that David wanted us to all shun the media for several reasons.)

(I was also interviewed for ten minutes in the French language by Canal +, which was really an honor of sorts for me, since I used to watch Canal + a lot in France in 2004-05. “Canal +” (with “Canal” means Channel” in French) is a gigantic, dominant French television news and entertainment network -- not unlike HBO here in the United States. On the positive side (and there was so much good that happened there), the conference boasted about 150 attendees, yes, 150 true and loyal white stalwarts who braved the uncertainty about the conference and rallied to David Duke and his team when the going got rough.

When I first heard that David's conference was in trouble, Margi Huffstickler, Henrik Holappa and I were all in Washington, D.C. for Henrik's political asylum hearing (which is costing us plenty of dollar$).

I had heard, while making my decision to drive to Tennessee or not, that several major scheduled speakers had canceled, such as Willis Carto, Dr. Ed Fields, Sam Dickson, etc. Since David had previously asked me, Henrik and Margaret to speak or (in Margi's case, to sing some marvelous white music), we felt that with the others having canceled, we really could render a service to this important gathering of our Folk if we drove that long stretch. (Of course, that also meant a 900-mile trip afterward back home to our new location north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for a total of 1,800 miles.)

So off we went, and the drive was in fact gorgeous, through the Appalachian mountains of western Virginia and the entire length of Tennessee. It was a bit scary after 150 miles when we started getting smoke from the car's engine compartment, but it turned out to be a minor problem with some fluid dripping on the catalytic converter. Of course we pressed on.

Parenthetically, since I am a gregarious person and always try to sound out the white public out everywhere I go, I found during the whole trip that most Southern whites (as well as Northern whites) are terrified of Obama and of the coming Great Depression that plutocrats among the Jews have caused. And very many have heard about Obama's HUGE birth certificate problem. Three different men told me (and these were NOT WN's) that they feared a race war started by black rioting if Obama were disqualified by the U.S. Supreme Court. Two at a Radio Shack told me they had just bought additional guns for their protection if the blacks rampaged -- and I repeat that these were NOT WN's, just John Q. White-Public.

The conference itself was as always a marvelous time to not only hear interesting speeches and performances, but also to network with the real activists, start new friendships and strengthen old bonds.

I met for the first time a fine young filmmaker there, a farmer/engineer, the wonderful Pastor Tom Robb and his family (all pitching in diligently, BTW, even on the food line as servers!). I enjoyed meeting the dry-witted Derek Black, who defeated a Jewish activist named Dinerstein [spelling?] and was elected a Republican committeeman in West Palm Beach, Fla., and the irrepressible, handsome and humorous Dane Knud Erickson. Masha, Duke's winsome Russian lady friend, delivered a courageous address on the Bolshevik Jews and the suffering her people had endured at their hands. I was impressed by the whole Duke-Black-Stormfront team, which was busy as bees throughout in putting on yet another successful EURO event, and this time under heavy fire, and has earned the loyalty and admiration this team engenders.

Now the decision to reduce the conference from two days to one day must have been a difficult one for Dr. Duke.

In October 2007 I was assisting organizer Joe Fields (and co-organizer Mark Glenn) to save their “No More Wars for Israel” conference in southern California. Once again, Jewish radicals had succeeded in pressuring hotels to cancel or refuse us a meeting place. I was proud that, with the help of a Greek-American named Pete and a local activist Mishko (an intrepid Croatian-American and VNN activist), our team secured a Greek Orthodox church for the Saturday session and then a dance ballroom (any port in a storm!) for the Sunday session.

(The ballroom of course had no chairs, and being in an industrial park, it also had no food service nearby for the crowd. I quickly organized and carried out a chair-renting/hauling-by-pickup/setting-up operation, and brought in pizzas for all.)

Some at the EURO conference were understandably grousing that they felt gipped, especially since the manager of the hotel had assured those attendees on Saturday that he would be happy to host a Sunday meeting for the Duke crowd as well.

Another problem is for the scheduled speakers, as exemplified by our Danish brother Knud Erickson: You work very hard and have a carefully-planned speech ready to deliver -- and you have flown thousands of miles, through all the jet lag, to deliver it. Then the host tells you that instead of one hour (again, because of freedom-hating instigators among the Jewish community) you have just twenty minutes to hit on the "main points."

This is not fun for a speaker who wants to really affect his audience.

(Nor is it fun when a speaker egotistically blabs on into the next speaker's time, and is not reminded to wrap it up. This was also the dilemma at the American Free Press/Barnes Review conference in September 2006. All speakers subsequent to the first speaker were required by emcee Willis Carto to SLASH their carefully planned speeches down to a fraction of their planned lengths, and at the last minute to boot. I had the same dilemma -- as one of the final speakers at “NMWF-Israel” Sunday evening in October 2007, and my entire speech (seen in three parts at my Youtube site http://www.youtube.com/johndenugent) had to be ruthlessly curtailed. You can actually see me shuffling through my photographs and exhibits as I was speaking, deciding what to cut and what to leave.)

And so the Duke-EURO conference had that same problem, speakers suddenly given a fraction of the time they had planned to carefully and artfully use. Dr. Duke had only given me ten minutes to begin with, which I stuck to (actually about 11 minutes), but with all the speakers who had canceled, I could easily have spoken for twenty minutes or thirty -- and many told Margi they wished I had. Certainly in a two-day (or even a one-and-a-half day session) I could have brought up some key issues and not just introduced myself -- especially in view of the 1,800-mile round trip by car.

I might add, on the other hand, that Pastor Tom Robb made a keen observation to me after it was all over. Duke wanted the conference to end on a winning note, Reverend Robb surmised, and by Duke wrapping it up on Saturday night we at least had that triumphant ending. However, had David promised a Sunday session, and then seen the hotel cancel on us for Sunday at the last minute despite its assurances, we WNs would have been left disappointed at the end -- and would have left Memphis with our tail between our legs. Psychology and morale are important, and leaving on a high note. So there are many factors Dr. Duke had to consider, and likely some escape me as an outsider and a friend looking on from the outside.

In any case, my recommendation would be to always hold the meeting itself at a secret location, and it should be revealed only at a “staging area” (as comrade Jamie Kelso did in Memphis) -- and we should perhaps have comrades just book their own rooms at nearby hotels from a recommended hotel list. Leftists do not usually harass a hotel for the guests sleeping there, but for the meetings being held there. (However, the Drury Inn, as I wrote above, did outrageously expel David Duke personally from his room, after he merely held a news conference outside that hotel.)

I have other recommendations, but I will not publish them here on this public website. In my 30 years in this Cause I have been through many meetings canceled through the pressure exerted by certain Jews and where we had to scramble. And we prevailed. Never surrender!

A conference is also about networking, making new friends and strengthening the old ties of comradery between us. It is also always fun to physically meet comrades one had known previously only by their screen name and “avatar,” or their email address. I met a budding young film maker, a combination farmer & engineer, and several website whizzes, plus the delightful, handsome and humorous Dane, Knud Erickson, not to mention the bevy of lovely and gifted ladies and girls, the flowers of our race, whom Margi and I both met.

I led a three-car tour of the city of Memphis after the one-day conference.

Myself and a young film maker, two "Damn Yankees" who revered the great Confederate general Nathan Bedford Forrest, whose striking equestrian statue is the glory of a park near downtown Memphis. Tragically, Forrest felt forced by anarchy to found and form the KKK to suppress black violence and a total black political takeover of the South after the unjust War of Federal Aggression (1861-65).

How ironic that his great-grandson, General Nathan Bedford Forrest III, a West Point graduate, was the first American general to die fighting Hitler Germany in WWII, shot down in 1943 while bombing Kiel. When Jewish supremacists egg on whites to kill each other, we need to see the Forrest for the trees. The statue is in the background.

This giant pyramid below dominates the northern end of Memphis, next to the mighty Mississippi river bridge from Memphis, Tennessee over into Arkansas. Since the city's name Memphis is Egyptian, I guess this structure is innocent enough, but, looking at the back of the U.S. one-dollar bill, I wonder!
