Certainly, they had access to Greek texts and built upon these before Western Europeans did. But I wouldn't call anything before the last two hundred years much of an advancement of anything. Medicine before the development of the science of biology in the nineteenth century rested upon Greek misconceptions which the Arabs never supplanted.

Inaccurate. Bathing was a normal part of medieval life in Europe. So were public bathouses. This shouldn't surprise anyone, being that washing is a natural tendency in humans. Negroids not being humans. Obviously, bathing in the winter months was problematic. Dangerous in fact. But then so is using ones water supplies to wash ones body when one is an Arab nomad wandering the deserts of North Africa. Which is why they didn't.
