Ron's right as usual, and these are deadly serious issues.
Bretton Woods II was pretty much ignored by the press--from what I've read, the leaders didn't decide anything substantive, but that meeting had very serious potential consequences. Wotan only knows what they're cooking up in their situation rooms right now.
I'm working up a thread that I'm going to post in General with some suggestions on finding a financial safe harbor, assuming any of us will be spared in the coming tsunami.
I hit about 50 economist's blogs every day, and I'm seeing things being whispered, such as:
Why should an American worker earn $30 an hour, when a Chinese worker, doing the same task, only earns $1 an hour?

International Labor Unions can't suck as much in union dues payments from the paychecks of the turd worlders. Perhaps they'll be bribed or blackmailed to back off so that Kwans can stay at the top of the pay scale. Save the Fed!
