That can happen if you have too many chat windows open at once; close some and try again.

I let the page load, and then a download Java popped up, I downloaded the thing and it tried to install but stopped half way through.

I refreshed the page and the exact same thing happened again.

Ok now I know this may be common knowledge to some, but I don't have a clue what IRC is, where to get it or how to use it once I have it.

So now the question is assuming someone is polite enough to help me out with this, is the VNN chat worth all the trouble?

I got the pop up and the download and then it got half through the install and wouldn't finish, this happened more than once. :(

OK, tried it with the Mozilla OS, did get a link to download java, but timed out trying to connect.

Every chat program runs the risk of being hijacked. Its a hacker's wet dream, but we take the risk none-the-less.

I was there last night while VNNF was down. Didn't see anyone that I knew, except Draco and it didn't seem like much was going on.

A few Darkie jokes and some talk about religion and the usual NA discussions, nothing that impressed me in the least.

I was let down horribly.

When I try to connect my window just goes *poof* and sometimes it takes all my explorer windows with it. I've tried Mozilla Foxfire, Microsoft IE, and AOL. :confused: I even tried repairing windows (not a complete system restore) and still nothing. Some other sites do it too, guess it's just some bug in my OS.

I downloaded all that stuff to make it work, and when I got there it was a waste. That is my opinion. Others may have enjoyed it but I didn’t.

I’m surprised we haven’t been given a status report on vnnlive in this thread, Chris. Judeocritic hasn’t posted in 4 days here and I hope he’s ok, the IRC chat seemed to disappear with him. Well, I don’t see too many people talking on Asgard either LOL. Just a lot of people with ops. :rolleyes:
