According to HR 2417 (Section 374), which became Public Law 108-177 on Dec. 13, 2003:
(a) MODIFICATION OF DEFINITION- Section 1114 of the Right to Financial Privacy Act of 1978 (12 U.S.C. 3414) is amended by adding at the end the following:
'(d) For purposes of this section, and sections 1115 and 1117 insofar as they relate to the operation of this section, the term 'financial institution' has the same meaning as in subsections (a)(2) and (c)(1) of section 5312 of title 31, United States Code [...]'

where the Financial Privacy Act was one of the victims of the USA PATRIOT Act (Section 358). Now HR 2417 redefines "financial institution" to match U.S. Code Title 31 Section 5312:
(2) ''financial institution'' means -
[...]
(N) a dealer in precious metals, stones, or jewels;

This could be a prelude to an FDR-style outlawing of gold possession. For more on the future of gold vs. paper money, see the Dec. 28, 2002 UnderReported.com story China deregulates gold; country's demand to double, affecting world market.

According to a Dec. 19, 2002 BBC story:
China has allowed its citizens to buy gold bullion for the first time since the Communist Party took power in 1949.
[...] Easing restrictions on gold sales is designed to create a new investment outlet for China's huge pile of household savings, worth nearly $1bn.

Analysts think demand for gold in China will rise sharply as a result of opening up sales of the metal to individual investors, and could even double.

Read more for a story from the Shanghai Daily on what happened the first day gold bullion went on sale there...

According to a Dec. 27, 2002 Shanghai Daily story:
Customers lined up to buy investment-grade gold bullion yesterday, when it went on sale for the first time in Shanghai since 1949 - making a mockery of retailers that refused to sell gold bars earlier this week, claiming there was no demand for it due to high world prices.
Responding to numerous phone calls from eager buyers, Shanghai Lao Feng Xiang Co. Ltd., the city's leading gold jewelry processor and retailer, decided to sell 15 kilograms of bullion on a trial basis. It's safe to say the trial was a success as almost all the gold bars were sold within two hours yesterday afternoon.

Earlier this month I was ridiculed for telling people to buy gold and get out of dollar denominated assets. I stood by my statements and defended them.

What we have today is a federal government that no longers acts as a servant of the people. It is time to read the original Declaration of Independence. I mean really read it.

Many people on this forum have no clue that once the freedom of the market is gone, all of our other freedoms will go with it. Capitalism is the only way to secure our future.

I came across this site. I'd like to hear what you think of it.
Gold Fixing (http://www.goldfixing.com/intro/) The fix is carried out twice a day at the offices of N M Rothschild & Sons Ltd by the 5 members in keeping with tradition, but with the added advantage of being connected to the most sophisticated trading rooms in the world.
At the start of each fixing, the Chairman (who has been a representative of N M Rothschild & Sons Ltd since the inception of the Fix), announces an opening price to the other 4 members, who report that price back to their dealing rooms. They in turn relay this price to their customers, and based on orders received from them, instruct their representatives to declare themselves as buyers or sellers at the at price. Provided there are both buyers and sellers at that price, members are then asked to state the number of bars they wish to trade.

If at the opening price there are only buyers or only sellers, or if the numbers of bars to be bought or sold does not balance, the price is moved and the same procedure is followed until a balance is achieved.

Another scam for the Rothschilds to steal money. What do they DO with all their money?

Someone should make a rough calculation of the assets the jews control and that could therefore be confiscated by a non-jew controlled government.
