CANTON —
Two armed men robbed a sandwich shop and one of them punched an employee in the face twice when she couldn’t open the safe for him.
The men carried guns when they walked into the Subway shop, 1314 Market Ave. N, at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, Canton police reports said. They jumped the counter and demanded money from the register.
Then, the reports said, they demanded that the employee open the safe.
When she couldn’t get it open, one of the gunmen punched her in the face.
The men fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
