My husband was flipping through the channels last night when he came across Dennis Miller, the un-funny former Saturday Night Live guy, who apparently has his own political talk show now. Dubya's daddy was on and right before they concluded their talk, Bush Sr. told Miller to be poltically correct, that Hitler wasn't all bad because he liked dogs. He said that the New York Post would jump them for not pointing out Hitler's good side. Obviously a sarcastic comment, but it was refreshing to hear. ;) Did anyone else catch this? I tried to find reference to it on Google this morning but nothing turned up.

Oh, this is old as the hills. "Nobody is all bad, even Hitler [that insane monster] liked dogs and kids." Doesn't everybody who writes about Hitler work this line in somehow? It's got nothing to do with political correctness at all. It goes along with that line about the fascist dictator who made the trains run on time.

Probably because I don't watch much TV and didn't realize that it was a tired old line! Of course I knew it was sarcastic, but as I was sitting there working on some paperwork and half-listening to the drivel coming from the box, it was a pleasant sentiment to hear expressed.

I cut way back on my television intake a few years back, and every once in a while I feel like a complete ignoramus when it comes to these sort of things. Once someone mentioned Haliburton here and I didn't know what it was! I stopped watching for obvious reasons and now I find myself unable to sit through even half an hour of news. Physically unable. I feel as if I've emerged from some sort of bubble and that if I tried to re-enter, I wouldn't be able to breathe the air in there.

Oh, well, I suppose everyone makes silly little comments once in a while. ^Up there's mine for the week. Now I have to try really hard not to post for a whole week! Naw, I'll just take my chances--if I slip again I'll just take a whole week off!

I'd call it damage control. Most people don't even know any of the more minor good things that Hitler promoted and accomplished.
While all "respectable" people can (and indeed are expected to) today praise select criminal niggers, no one can expect to be anything but a pariah if they have a single good word for Hitler, beyond, that is, the way one might note that some notorious child molester also grew prize-winning tulips. Hitler is still supposed to be the ultimate evil, MLK the ultimate good, with Jesus, Stalin, and U.S. presidents supposedly somewhere in between.

But what if it were to become common knowledge:
That Hitler orchestrated the most complete, almost miraculous (if not the only) economic recovery in the world during the Great Depression?
All the high praise (not unreasonably) describing and given to him, in the span of a few years, by virtually every head of State in the West?
Or even, that Hitler and his Alpine resort house were featured in the pages of Better Homes (forerunner of Better Homes and Gardens) magazine?

A typically well-conditioned lemming would still respond with, "Well so what? He was the most evil man in history, because he killed Jews."

What if (as is happening) people began either not to care about or not to believe in The Six Million? Or learned who fomented practically every war we've ever fought, who really won, and who's behind (and what tiny minority benefits from) the full-scale retreat of our people in the last 100 years?
