I thought I'd post this into the appropriate forum :D -
Sounds great. Do they serve warm beer to cater for English tastes? ;)
Of course. An Englishbloke has to call in 3 days in advance so that the poured beers have time to reach the traditional Hallmark of flatness, before adjusting to room temperature

If all you ever drank here was real ale, then you would only ever get flat warm beer. And the further south you travel in England the worse it gets. Up north you can still buy a pint of bitter with a frothy head and a bit of life. I moved south in the early 80's to find work, and one of the first things I did was switch to drinking Guinness. I hate warm flat soppy southern beer. Of course lager is more popular over here than bitter now, most is foriegn lager brewed here under licence. All I can say about that is to go for exported german beer, only the 4 ingredients allowed in that, British breweries use too many chemicals.
Since I was only in London, I unfortunately missed out on the gööd stuff :(

INTERBREW is closing down Boddingtons Bitter Manchester Brewery at Strangeways, been brewing beer since about 1776.
Mind you BODDIES hasn't been BODDIES since the late 1970's.
I believe that INTERBREW of Belgium can't sell its rubbish beer in Germany, due to the Purity Laws in place there. Is this true anyone ?
Oh and yes, flat beer is a Southern England thing. To do with the hard water down there.

Booties have suffered the same trend

Yes, but INTERBREW has been buying out established breweries with established recipes

That's what he gets for consuming excessive amounts of warm, flat beer and women sporting these features

........ I moved south in the early 80's to find work, and one of the first things I did was switch to drinking Guinness. I hate warm flat soppy southern beer. .....
I was in London for 9 months between autumn ’89 to summer ’90 and wörked as an electrician for London Transport beginning at Norbiton garage for Kingston bus and got a transfer to the notorious Hollaway garage which was jokingly nicknamed “Hollaway Prison”, because of the womens prison of the same name in the near vicinity. England is a great place to wörk, except for my immediate supervisor at Kingston bus who I couldn’t neither understand nor stand. He was an old Cunt who was nearing retirement age. I applied for a transfer, soon after beginning with them. We were always having laughs, otherwise and a beer at the pub at tea-time was a religious ritual. My starting wage was 4,11 Quids. Before I engaged employment at London Transport, I was “temping”.
London seems to attract every Wanker from English- and American speaking countries. The silliest arriving overproportionately from the latter group. People thought they were really something when they visited London, as if they were going to become some wörld reknown musician or artist. One of these Wankers even photographed an empty pack of cigarettes after strategically arranging it on the sidewalk. How disgusting. I used to marvel at the way Brits pretended the zoo around them was a normal society. Living in London pushed me even further right on the racialist scale which shouldn’t wonder anyone. Did you become a racialist there or have you been around sub-Human excrement, since you could remember?

Oh most definately. London beer has always been notoriously crap. I prefer the beers of Yorkshire and Lancashire. Especialy if you are drinking bitter beer. If you want draught Guinness, or bottled lager, it is pretty much the same wherevever you go. Newcastle Brown Ale is also a good traveler, a bottle of NBA is the same wherever you drink it too. :)
They should sell Sierra Nevada Pale Ale over there. I'd be shocked if you guys didn't like it.

I like Greenking IPA and Abbots Ale from Bury in Suffolk. :D

I like it already! Not that I have tried it, but I drink anything. Got to admit cider will always be my favourite though. White Lightning Power! :)
I can not drink cider, even my friends walked away when I used to drink it (many years ago). Have not drank it for years it has a bad effect on me, I just got snappy about nothing! Wise thing is I don't drink it anymore. I am fine with traditional ales, so I stick with ale and keep my friends. :D

Vodka does that to me. Thats why I don't drink that stuff. I used to like it with a drop of orange juice. Things I used to drink. Pernocide was an old favourite. Its a pint of strong cider with a double pernod in it, bloody lethal that was. Oh to be young and stupid again!
I liked cider but cider did not like me. Pernocide does sounds lethal!!!
These days I just stick to Ale, there are so many to choose from if you go to independent pubs, we are lucky around this area. Always seem to be new ones to try. Some great, some dreadful. In my local they let the locals have a shot (in a shot glass) to see if they like it.
Ye Traditional Olde English Ale, you can't beat it! :D

There are some fine English beers, for example; WAGGLEDANCE which is made with honey, hence the name.
Of the foreign beers, some of my favourites include TROPICAL and DORADA in the Canary Islands. MAHOU from Madrid.
TRAPPIST beers in Belgium (no wonder the monks who brew it are of a 'silent order').
Of the German beers, my favourite was PADERBORNER pilsner and every bier vom fass in Bayern. All beer on tap in Bavaria :D
Real and the original BUDWEISER from the Czech republic, far superior to the US version and much cheaper too. ;)

Yep, Pilsner Urquell is 'good swag' :D
FAXE beer isn't bad either, from Denmark I think.
I have never had any Iclandic beer. Anyone tried any ? I believe that booze is very expensive up there .

That's probably like that stuff Absinthe.
That was banned in just about every country in the World. But they even sell it in ASDA now. I wouldn't touch that stuff, they use wormwood in the process, it can make you go blind !
Woods Navy rum is the strongest hooch I go near. No wonder 'Britannia ruled the waves', when they were supping that stuff. Has anyone else tried Woods rum ?

Real Absinthe is good, a cross between a drink and a drug! It's good now and again but I would not recommend too much of it! ;)
