Croatian cameraman Dragan Banovic said today (Thurs) he was planning to sue American singer Beyonce Knowles’ bodyguard who had attacked him in Dubrovnik on Tuesday night.
Banovic, 57, the owner of a local TV station, will sue the bodyguard for the attack, threats and camera damage.
He claims the bodyguard kicked him three times in the hip while he was doing his job.
Banovic also said Beyonce’s husband Jay-Z had encouraged the bodyguard by shouting "kill, kill."
But Banovic is angriest with the Dubrovik police. His lawyer Srdj Jaksic asked the police to gave him the name of the bodyguard, which they refused to do. The lawyer claimed the police would have responded if non-celebrities had been involved in the clash.
On the other hand, the local media reported today the bodyguard, named Julius, was providing a court in Dubrovnik with a statement about the incident.
