Rocky Mount, N.C. — Police have charged a man with exposing himself to a woman reading her Bible at City Lake on Sunday morning.
John Edward Winstead, 55, was charged with indecent exposure.
A 20-year-old woman told police she was reading the Bible in a gazebo at the lake when a man approached her and began asking questions about the Bible and flirting with her. When the man exposed himself, she said, she got up and walked toward the nearest person, hoping he wouldn't follow her.
She then went to the police department to report the incident, and the man pulled into the parking lot and was arrested, police said.
