This movie was about a pilot who had to train a chimp to fly. The object was to train the chimps to fly military aircraft to deliver nuclear weapons. The pilot didn't know at first but the chimp could communicate via sign language. Anybody remember the title?
Another movie I racall was about some high school nerd who got by on Cs and was into computers. He hacked into a military base computer and accidentally started (or would have) a nuclear war. The military computer's name was "Yoshua" if memory serves me right. Anybody remember that one?
No this isn't trivia, I really want to find out the titles.

Is it true that the US military had monkeys learn to drive the APC 432 when testing the vehicle ?

The first vehicles put in space by the United States were piloted by chimps. Later, those other hominids, the humans would be the pilots. But early on, our genetic cousins, chimpanzees, were the ones taking all the risks.
But I remember the flick, Project X, starring the half-jew Matthew Broderick. His character decides to rebel against the military because he got sympathetic towards the unwitting chimps. Haven't seen it in years though.

As a nature lover I think the early space programme was a terrible waste of Chimpanzees.
With an excess level of Nigglets as a social pollutant, a moredeserving expendable group could have been shot, into space.

But the thing is, chimps are smarter than niggers!
So that wouldn't work.
