Hey, gurus!

This FASM thingy... - I see it mentioned more and more on the WEB. I will most likely include the code generation for it into AsmDev 2.0.

My question: I heard that FASM does not have the LINKER.
How then to design big multi-module project in FASM?
All modules get included, something like:

include module1.asm
include module2.asm
include module3.asm

.DATA
...

.CODE
...

or I have to specify ALL modules in cmd. line.
What if there is more than command line can hold? Any
input files, like '@name.inp' for TASM?

Я лично использую include module.asm, а про инпут филе не слыхал (и думаю не услышу). А вообще с официальным выходом GUI-версии должно много всего хорошего появиться, для работы с multi-module проектами в т.ч.

What do you mean by GUI-version of FASM?
I just been on the FASM site and there is a zip file:
'version 1.41 for Win32 GUI', but I got it and it is still
command line compiler. The 'GUI', most likely, means Win32
GUI - ability to call GUI (not console) functions.

Если ты запускаешь fasmw.exe (а не fasm.exe), то я не совсем понимаю, что ты имеешь в виду под command line compiler. С тех пор, как появилась эта версия, я ни разу не воспользовался командной строкой: открыл файл и все иклуды к нему - редактируешь в свое удовольствие; F9 нажал - все скомпилировалось и запустилось. А скоро еще и встроенный дебаггер появится. Так что, разница по сравнению с command line compilerом на лицо.

I see... FASMW.EXE - got it - I was thinking it will be better.
It looks like NOTEPAD with Run and Compile (plus syntax color), but still is better than just command line.

А что, кстати, за AsmDev, и с чем его едят?

There is a tool I made: 'www.codexxi.com' -> Tools.
It has some flaws, but overall not that bad. You can see/navigate
all project items in a tree, like VC++ and you can attach any
tool to it, like external RC editor or any type of ASSEMBLER...

it - what should be done to make it better,
like syntax coloring and internal RC editor.
I will go further, of course, in version 2.0.

There are some reasons:
1. No Russian keyboard and drivers at my work.
2. Left USSR in 1990.

Working all the time, English all the time - I THINK in English!
Of course, I can read/write Russian OK, but type in Russian - I forgot where the keys are! I tried typing a short message - like 15 minutes for a couple of sentences.

I figured, if you, guys, can read programming manuals and articles - you can understand my English.
