I think that while you may have just tried to get in a quick flame on
him, you just validated what jma said about hunting criminals and
felons. If he considered the deceased in question to be a dishonest
criminal, would he not then search for and investigate that person?
Perhaps what you call stalking is the very "let them be afraid" tactic
he is speaking of.

Mr. Atkinson, I appreciate this recent wave of posts from the
participants, because it has provided rich social intelligence. I
mean that while it may not be strictly speaking a technical
discussion, it nevertheless manifests as a ripe opportuinity for
evaluating the personality and character of various list participants.
