I enjoy reviewing most of the "off-topic" messages posted, but being
posted individually as they are, can become rather cumbersome.

May I suggest a compromise-

The "spam" or "postings" be folded into a digest email by the
originator, such that one email gets sent to the list, and the list
recipients can review the digest to decide which articles are of
interest to them.

That way, the postings can continue, people's email boxes don't get
overwhelmed, and, hopefully, the list doesn't lose anyone.

Just an idea...
