Oh, yes, I totally agree. Sending an unsolicited several-MB attachment to
everyone on a mailing list is an annoyance, and a waste of bandwidth and
people's disk space--when a URL pointing to it would be far more efficient and
considerate.
That deluge of off-topic postings had some interesting stories, but my point was
that many of them were off-topic. There's tons of interesting stuff online, but
this is the TSCM list--if we all started posting everything we found
"interesting" here it would become unusable.
I'm for keeping the TSCM list 'lean & clean.'
