Tektronix RSA6114A

If any list member is using them yet, I have several original
Component Level Service manuals (with full schematics), plus Second
Level manuals (module level), full diagnostics, and finally the
Calibration, Programming, Users and Service manuals for the 14 GHz
Real Time Spectrum Analyzers (4+ foot high stack of manual). These
are the preliminary manuals I got they I purchased our first units
several months back when we got two of the pre-release units and
started tweaking out TSCM software for it.

Original investment was something like $1200 per set, and they
include the original Tek binders that came from the factory. I got a
second set when I went through the factory service school recently.
The set that I am selling is from the pre-release era of the product
and does not include some of the more recent options.

I also have an extra transit cases although it is an early one that
has "character" from being shipped several dozen times and the
telescoping handles needs to be replaced.

I understand that in early January Tek will be offering some very
liberal discounts and rebates on these units, and all they require of
a basic trade-in is an SA that just lights up, but for the deepest
discount you will need a recently made RTSA. A fully tricked out
RSA6114A for TSCM runs around $90k, but with some of the 30-40k
rebates, and "trade-up" allowances of 20-30k they actual price of one
of these beasties is only about $35k.

Nice units, but if you study the schematics you can see that the
thing will be obsolete in 2-3 years and that they are pushing these
as competition against the Agilent PSA, but that the RSA6100 series
is more of a test bed of a concept, and that you can expect a
radically different version out.
