 | AL,
 |
 | I appreciate your "summary". Obviously it was not intended to cover
 | every possible attack known to man. Apparently your mention of "brand
 | names" struck a nerve.
 |
 | Our industry has two problems. First a plethora of folks who claim to
 | provide TSCM sweeps using a handful of internet gadgets. The second and
 | perhaps most dangerous threat comes from within. As a polygraphist I
 | watched the industry self destruct, as practitioners were consumed with
 | running down each others equipment and techniques. Those who were
 | opposed to truth, used this lack of unity to divide and conquer.
 |
 | An open mind and focus on professionalism is paramount for our industry
 | to grow and prosper. I believe you are "on target" with professional
 | grade equipment, keeping in mind that the training component is just as
 | important.
 |
 | Regards

Sir,

I am not truly of this TSCM field/fold but rather
an information security geek who tries to learn by
analogy from (many) other fields. I can, however,
tell you that in my field the demand for high skill
exceeds supply while high skill is simultaneously
difficult to define, and so the fraction who are
charlatans is rising. There's probably some
fundamental truth or other in that that is
non-field-specific.
