***BIRDIES*** (ICOM IC-R15000)

I have spent some time checking the "Birdies" in the new
Icom IC-R1500 scanner.

The first parts 0.01~30 Mhz and 30~1000 Mhz are done

My opinion on the birdies in a R1500 is that it is very average,
certainly there are not less birdies then in a lower-cost scanner
that covers the same frequency-range
(i'm just talking about the birdies...not other qualities)

If you have a R1500 please confirm my findings.

The next part 1000~3300 Mhz will follow soon
but my first quick impressions on that part (the birdies) are not so
good.
