The HP-IB Interface is installed in the ISA or EISA slot on your
controller and connected to the command module in your VXI mainframe.
HP-IB interfaces are economical workhorses, completely compatible with
IEEE 488.2 and ideal for medium-performance systems. (Please note that
Series 300 controllers and the Model 745i controller have built-in
HP-IB, so unless you need to expand your HP-IB capacity, you dont need
an HP-IB interface with these controllers.)
