Here is your starting guide: faq ("http://www.woodmann.cjb.net/fravia/rce-faq.htm")
Read it, then come back with a more specific question and someone will help you for sure.

The forum also has a SEARCH (http://www.woodmann.com/forum/search.php) function. USE IT.

JMI, you need to speak to your union rep - all these people taking your job!

Maybe we need to start slapping instead of shouting, so JMI can do what he does best

I'm part of management, not "staff," so we have no Union or "reps." We are just on our own in this wide, cruel world and have to fend for ourselves.

But that's what makes it fun.

Hello DViper,

Welcome to this board, and I understand your surprise if you found no answers to your questions. This board does not answer questions without a show of effort from the person asking the question. As such, most people here are self learned and the knowledge is best learned through self work, rather than simply asking questions on how do I do this, etc. Show some work done, what you have searched, how much you have understood etc, and then someone will, for sure, assist you.

Flexlm is quite complex and I believe that if you have never cracked before, this is not the right protection to approach. Try cracking Winzip and MIRC v6 and v5/6 respectively before moving on to higher level protections like Flexlm and SentinelLM.

Find a software called lmtools.exe - The windows GUI version. This will ask you for a filename. Find out the filename you think is protected with Flexlm and it will tell you the exact version. This tool is a diagnostic tool from Macrovision themselves (guys who make Flexlm).

You may alternatively, try finding targets protected with "earlier" versions of Flexlm that have a verification code of only 12 letters (read the Flexlm manuals first - about 2/3 weeks ought to do it for you), rather than ones that are protected with ECC. You may also look at Crackz' site below.

Best of Luck,

Have Phun

Aimless:

You are such a nice and politically correct guy. . .
I hate that!

DViPER:

If you are in such a deep hole that your job hangs on the chopping block unless you crack a FlexLM protected program,

I would seriously consider BUYING the damn thing.
Or finding a cracked version in the wild,
or finding a similar program with similar functionality but is less well protected.

Don't let yourself be cornered by a stupid FlexLM.
Life is worth more than that. . .

I don't mark stuff as complicated/easy. I mark stuff as "interesting" and "boring".

"boring" is hacking something that has the same protection as several others, and so you have done it time and time again.

"interesting" is something new and unique, with little or no information available on the 'net.
